It’s always a little irritating to get slayer when I search for team arena. I’m not saying I don’t like slayer, I just like to play objective modes sometimes. Considering that slayer has its own dedicated playlist and game types like CTF and strongholds don’t have their own playlist, it makes me wonder why slayer even comes up in team arena. What are your thoughts?
For me is the opposite. When I’m playing team arena every time is “Empire - Strongholds” when I just want to play Slayer.

Yes. They should remove Slayer from TA, add slayer variants to the Slayer playlists, rename TA to Team Objective, and then add oddball, ricochet, koth, and assault to the new Team Objective.
No, it should be keep as it is and renamed to HCS playlist. This way people know this what pros play and if someone wants to get into that scene, they should play it.
They should add a Team Objective playlist either 4-4 or 8-8 or something. Halo 5 is seriously lacking in object based game types. I’d have Oddball, CTF, KOTH to name a few in it. If its BTB objective, then I’d remove objective from BTB obviously. I just find most people don’t play objective in BTB. Sometimes CTF is played, but that’s it.
I get why they did it, I’d just rather it not be there. Give us the Team Slayer playlist with the HCS slayer maps and settings. Give us a Team Objective playlist with HCS objective maps and settings. Make them both ranked.
Then give us an unranked Team Arena playlist with both objective and slayer with a max party size of 1, so we have something that isn’t as dependent on having a group to play with.
Gotta keep it MLG errr ESL…although I find I play it way too often

If you prefer slayer, why do you play team arena and risk getting an objective mode?
When I play Team Arena and I want to play varied game modes in different maps.
Someday the game matched me “Empire-Strongholds” 3 consecutive times. So I went to the Team Slayer playlist.
I don’t mind playing objective gamemodes, I just want play ctf or strongholds or slayer or assault, not just Strolholds three consecutive times.

The variety can be pretty bad…I played Coliseum CTF 2 times in a row then the same map for Slayer
I just want a true Objective playlist that includes:
Capture The Flag + Variants.
Assault + Neutral Bomb + Ricochet
King Of The Hill
Oddball.
Is that too much ask for considering that is what every other Halo games objective playlist consisted of?

The problem is that there isn’t an objective playlist. Would it be so bad if slayer was removed from TA?

No I’d rather have a HCS playlist over an objective playlist. History has shown objective playlists have some of the lowest population.
