Should skins be its own custom option in H6?

In Halo 5 there are a lot of armor skins in total. A lot. There are so many that sometimes I like some on armors that don’t have that specific skin.

So should skins be its own category along with body, helmet etc , with its own rarities and so forth? And for those who don’t like skins, they have the option of just having the default which is none. This would ultimately cut the total amount of armor sets and make each armor with their specific rarity feel more unique. For example, in Halo 5 when I see recon on another player, its hard to tell if he has the uncommon, rare, or ultra rare versions.

The rarity for armors in Halo 5 is mostly based on different skins, which doesn’t bug me, but it would be cool if they can make the skins a separate customization category to diversify the armors. So when you see a recon, you know its a legendary or what-not.
