Personally, I think quickplay should be 5v5. Ranked should definitely remain 4v4 though. But lately I’ve noticed that since Halo is once again popular among my friends, I’ve been in situations where we would want to play with bigger parties than 4 but we would then be forced to play BTB (and BTB is not something most of my friends or I would usually want to play). So we are then forced to divide into smaller groups whenever we want to play the arena gametypes.
So, I would prefer quickplay to be 5v5. Just like social matchmaking was in Halo 3(assuming I remember correctly. It’s been a long time lol).
If there were more maps like Launch Site and Behemoth then I might agree to 5v5 for social modes off the bat.
But 5v5 wouldn’t flow as well as the smaller maps imo so I don’t think that is the best route, at least until we get more playlists in the first place. Once we have a proper variety of social and ranked selections then I totally wouldn’t mind 5v5 in some playlists.
I’d be down for 5v5 socials. Alot of these maps feel pretty big and having another 2 players in the mix would make the game play a bit faster, and I’m all for that
Yeah bunch of us were campaigning for this on the forums like H3 was. Made the games feel way different between social and ranked although I do think the starting weapons also help achieve that already.
Personally I think 4v4 is working, but I’d be interested to test 5v5 to see if it is as much fun as it was on Halo 3.
