I rarely hear people talk online anymore, if they do it’s always pre-game lobbies, then they’re gone.
I know games on the 360 did this, and I think Halo 5 should do this as well.

Nope. I’d rather stay in party chat.
It would be nice to have a a single gametype only for mikes/in party chat off

I would be down for that
If you force me out of party chat, I’m just unplugging my mic and muting everyone. You will never be able to MAKE people talk to others if they don’t want to.
There are mute options, there’s no need for party chat. Unless you’re giving your buddy explicit details about your -Yoink!- life, there’s no reason to ignore the rest of your team. And if you really feel the need for private conversation, use the -Yoink!- phone.
No one can hear my callouts!

But a single playlist like the one in halo 3 on the 360 would work for the people who wanna talk with others
No way!
When the younger generations get some respect then I will change my mind. I can’t tell you how many times over the past few years when I try to be in the lobby instead of a party there is some jerk playing the worst music possible through their mic or yelling nonsense at the top of his/her lungs!
Also having some of the larger game types, like warzone or BTB, with everyone trying to talk at the same time would be chaos! If the larger game types were squad based, like they should be, then it could possibly work.

Yes. Let me spend thousands on a phone call so I can call my American friends from Bahrain. Great plan.

Which playlist was that? I genuinely don’t remember anything like that in H3.
When I play halo reach I always get full game of people with Mics
MW2 did this. Still, no one talked.
This is a terrible idea. I don’t want to hear 13 year old squeakers yell into their mic, blast music and rupture my eardrums with their nonsense. I play video games online to socialize and have fun with my friends, even if they’re playing a different game. This game is not important or serious enough to warrant banning party chat. If you really want to have teamwork and communication to the point where you control other peoples social ability, then join a spartan company and find people to game with.

So spend 2 minutes pregame catching up with your foreign friend during intermission, then open your -Yoinking!- ears when you enter the competitive scene. There’s no reason to auto block out your team mates when muting obnoxious tweens takes 2 button presses.

Orrrr hear me out - I can get into a party chat and talk to my friends around the world because I LIKE them and don’t have to worry about people eating, cursing me, telling me to go make sandwiches, playing crap music, etc.
Just saying one of those is way more enjoyable.
And if you take party chat away, people will just use Skype or Discord. It doesn’t guarantee game chat at all.

Then why even have Spartan companies if you want forced comradery? That’s literally their purpose is to have a medium for players to connect and play with one another. Forcing people in game out of party chat is completely unnecessary and undermines the entire point of Spartan companies. If they really wanted to make an MLG playlist for what I’d imagine is the minority of players that want this, then by all means do so. It just simply doesn’t belong in standard arena playlists.

Not everyone is has a company and not everyone want to join one if you dot wanna play in this game mode don’t play it there would be other options
this isn’t a play list you going to be forced to play
