So just thinking whether you would prefer seeing something like the “cap” part of your helmet like in H4 for example or should the HUD be “clean” as in no physical parts of the helmet are seen on HUD like in Halo 3?
Just a random thing, and i personally prefer that our futuristic visor filters the visual obstructions of the helmet for example, or it could be even that simple that in H4 Chief forgot to fasten his helmet so it wobbled around as he moved.
Obviously the last part is not made in all seriousness.
to let the player find the relevant information as fast as possible, - to not come in the way.Everything else is less important, and showing anything on the HUD that obstructs the view is a no-go. Any part of the HUD that is there purely for artistic reasons must be transparent and easily ignored.

Definitely agreeable though do you mean by last part that you would like a transparent helmet part on HUD like a cloaked elite or are you implying you would be fine with such?

I was mostly referring to the transpartent lines that you get, e.g., on the top and bottom of the Halo 4 (multiplayer) HUD. I prefer a minimalist HUD with nothing that isn’t necessary, but if there is going to be some artistic elements, they must be subtle and transparent.

That clears it up and its still agreeable.

Having parts of your helmet visible on top/bottom of your screen is one of the very few things 343 came up with that I actually don’t really mind as long as they keep that stuff in SP only…
For campaign… possibly. Halo 5 has neat transparent lines that don’t get in the way, so I think that’s the route to go. It could also be cool if you were given the option to change the visor look, like H5"s campaign.
The visor should be clean honestly. The physical part of the helmet shown in the visor feels a bit intrusive to the overall viewing of the player. I feel it should not take part in the new title.

Definitely not a good idea but it has been on 343i Halo games and im wondering in this topic if they could revert it back to as it was before as in a clean HUD with no sign of any parts of the helmet.
Just replied because of your curiously constructed sentence. So if it wasnt clear before, im not making a topic about adding such as a new feature but rather its about that it has been in the newest installments and ask if its really necessary.

Don’t give the lore guys at 343i those ideas mate, it might become canon!
Anyway, I think it should be a player’s choice. Personally I prefer a minimalistic HUD, but I’m not against “artistic” additions like tsassi put it either. It could be an interesting option for machinima as well! Maybe make the helmet visible in SP and vice-versa in MP as a standard. Just give me the option do deactivate that yoink!
PS.: I also would love to have more control over the HUD in general. Color, position, size, opacity, fade-out timer… Fun stuff like that!^^
I would rather the screen be as clean as possible. I think of it like your nose. You see it every time your eyes are open, but your subconscious blocks it out. If a spartan spend most of their time in their armor, it’s reasonable to believe they don’t consciously notice certain parts of of the helmet like the cap anymore

I had to go back and look and sure enough it is there. Huh… I prefer a clean view, personally. Though Halo 4 is my second favorite campaign after Combat Evolved, so i guess it didnt bother me too much lol. Im glad they kept it out of matchmaking.
