What do you guys think about Saber Interactive/Certain Affinity making secondary Halo games in-between 343’s Halo games? While the story and evolution continues under 343 in the Reclaimer Series, I think it’d be pretty amazing to have a Prequel Series by Saber/CA, with Halo Wars 2/3 by Creative Assembly between those.
This Prequel Series could take place anywhere in the timeline before or during the Original Trilogy, and focus on classic gameplay from different perspectives, in a similar vein as H3: ODST and Halo: Reach.
Certain Affinity has had a bunch of experience with making Halo multiplayer and Saber is responsible for the creation of the Anniversaries, so they have a decent grip on the feel and style of classic Halo.
I’d rather some other company do them entirely. Take it away from 343.
Idk I like the way this game is set up multiplayer wise and the sandbox is balanced but I don’t like 343s art direction and I hate the way you unlock things. Don’t even get me started on the campaign but idk of putting a new company in charge would be the right thing to do as it could put us further from the OG halos

In a sense I agree, but I doubt that’s happening anytime soon. And 343 is balls-deep into this new direction they’ve taken Halo into, so I don’t think there’s any going back.

I’m suggesting a series of spinoffs that feature OT gameplay principles, that way people who like classic Halo have something to fall back on when not playing a 343 Halo game.
No. Let Halo end. It’s been an amazing series and should be let go before people dump it after getting board with it. 343i and other developers should develop original franchises in order to bring variety into the gaming industry. These never ending franchises are signalling that the industry is creatively stagnant which is not a good thing.
