As far as I know this is the first company I’ve heard of having a program such as this. If you know of any please share and let me know below.
I personally enjoy it, it’s almost like a Game Preview, or Early Access on steam. Or back in the day when you got Demo discs in your favorite gaming magazine or at the store
The way 343 handles flights and insider programs with MCC I think is superb kinda reminds me of dead by daylights Player Test Build and the devs can get as much real time data as possible.
Is this something you enjoy? Having yourself of other members of the community dive into a game or season early to work out the kinks to deliver a fully polished product?

Other games run test servers and betas and I don’t think 343’s approach is particularly better. The biggest difference being how they limit flights and betas to people in the program rather than open for everyone. For us its not really a problem but I can hardly imagine that being attractive to others.
Many other companies do the same, 343 isn’t unique. The main thing 343 does differently, is limit to who the flight is open too.
Most of the companies use open betas to test their games or they simply allow players who have preordered their game to have access to a beta. I think the Halo Insider program helps limiting the amount of people that participates, but it also helps to create a community between the ones who participate in it

However, Flighting does filter the feedback and bugs to a more honed and dedicated group of people. And in the forums, people who played the flight generally discuss problems and features a lot more appropriately and level headed too.
That being said, I would like Halo to offer Betas too, and use Flighting more frequently with more feedback forms sent out to insiders to test smaller features. For example the UI could really use some improvements in Infinite, and a lot of feedback and talk is going to be about bugs or gameplay and not quite enough about problems with UI etc.
Rare with Sea of Thieves, Minecraft, and a few other games use the Xbox Insider Hub for accessing their early versions. But as far as I know no other company has a specific web dedicated to the people who play as Insiders
