Should MCC Have H2A DLC Maps?

I am very curious to get your guys opinion on if Halo 2 Anniversary should get DLC maps. Essentially these could be more remakes or entirely new maps. My main reason to ask this is that there is only a small amount of maps that can be used for competitive. Now grannit it could work as Call of Duty: Ghosts only uses 4 maps in total for there eSport scene. But would it be trully needed for us to get DLC maps to use for eSports?

Let me know what you think,

I would buy them in a heart beat. I would hope they reimagined some h3 maps as well. Maybe do a 3 or 4 map pack of h2 in january. Then in May, release one for Guardian, the pit, and narrows.

Of course the community as a whole would rally behind 343 if they decide to put out DLC. However, from a business standpoint, it doesn’t make much sense to do that with Halo 5 around the corner. We’re approx. a year away from having a whole new game, engine, and maps to play. That includes a new Midship, which of course will be used in eSports. 343 may surprise us, but I don’t see DLC coming before Halo 5.

I would like to see it, but i wouldn’t care which maps they were. Every map can be competetive with good players

I’d buy it, but I think I’d like to see a handful of maps from other games, like Valhalla and Death Island

This would be a great idea for DLC.

I’d be interested in dlc. I just want terminal remade.

I would definatly buy the DLC with more re-made/new maps, but they should really focus on H5 since we are about a year away from it being released

I’m up for DLC as long as they are decently sized map packs.

I imagine there might be some DLC at some point, but I don’t think they would go out of their way to either remake more classic maps or create new maps from scratch considering the amount of content that’s already in the collection.

But if they did announce DLC my guess would be that it would be a form of firefight from Reach or ODST, probably from ODST since it uses Halo 3s engine and that most of the weapons are featured in the collection anyway.

I would take either. New maps for an old game though would be a little odd. But if they remade Turf, oh boy.

This.
Turf, Containment and Terminal would be much appreciated as well.

If they do add DLC, it better be a BTB map. I’d be super-happy if they added Waterworks, Headlong, and Terminal.

i would buy it they can just have CA do it while 343 focuses on h5

Yes! H2A DLC would be perfect, but based on the massive amount of stuff that’s already in the MCC and 343 working on Halo 5: Guardians, I wouldn’t really expect DLC for a while. I remember they said after we find out what the last 2 H2A maps were (Lockdown and Warlord), they were thinking about it. It’s not on their schedule and they don’t have plans for it at the moment, but I would like to see Waterworks, Ivory Tower, and Headlong get remastered.

LOL, anyone notice this is Buckeye from HaloFollower? But they need DLC. a Waterworks DLC id like with a few others good for forge i suppose, i was more wanting waterworks remake than warlock remake.

I personally want to see more maps get the anniversary treatment over the dev cycle, in my opinion I think they should be set up to be free if they do. It just seems DLC in the long run barely ever get played and that becomes more apparent the more time goes by. I know MS wants to generate a profit and that’s fine, but from games like CS:GO there are other ways to make a profit while releasing maps for free. People sure love hard to get cosmetic items.

Yes, YOU ARE BRILLIANT :3, 343 tho reall needs just 1 DLC map pack, all 3 of these maps 10$ in the U.S. or 15$ i wouldnt care

I would buy it, but I would be worried that the population would be split even further.

Yes there should be DLC for H2A, and I would buy it. I think the best option would be a $15 map pack that features 6 maps. I think a good map selection would be:

  • Terminal- Turf- Relic- Ivory Tower- Beaver Creek- Headlong
