Should master chief get a new armor set in halo 6?

I want Master chief to have a new set of armor I think it would be the perfect excuse to go back to more original style armor there by going more back to the original art style because he did get his visor smashed in halo 5.

P.S. I want the original forerunner art style back.

I don’t think a cracked visor is enough to warrant some new armor for Chief.

with the way 343 handles and designs armor i hope to god they dont change it

I hope they dont change it.Maybe replacing the visor.

Well they changed it for even less in Halo 4 they even change the forward onto Don an already established ship so let’s not forget how much they’re willing to change just for the sake of changing um cough forerunner art design.

It seems excessive and wasteful to switch out armor sets solely because the visor is cracked.

It’d make more sense to me if it were at the end of Halo 6 where his armor is beaten beyond repair and he has to switch to an older set for Halo 7.

Even then, I actually like Chief’s custom Mark VI better than both Bungie’s and 343’s baseline Mark VI designs, so…

seeing that the only armor he changed was from the mk5 to mk6, his new armor set is the mk6 gen 2.

he got the new gen 2 after the diadact blasted him with a composer blast that welded his armor together in the comic book.

Doesn’t change that he came out of cryo-sleep with a whole new different new set of armor and blue team the exact same armor but he was in a sleep for four years how does that happen.

So youre saying go back to older prototypes of armor? Jeeesh…some of the stuff brought up on these forums is literally crazy.

different art style i guess, i was going lore wise. i have no dang clue other than that they used an entirely different engine than halo 2 and 3.

It’s crazy that 343 is so inconsistent.

Most I could figure out is they changed it because they wanted to and they could no matter what reason lore Wise or not.

I want the old style too but that won’t happen unless it tied in with the story somehow. Even then it would be kind of weird even though I would like it.

No, seriously.

They’re probably not going to change chief’s armor in halo as it will most likely continue immediately where halo 5 ended.

see that’s the great thing about owning halo, they can do whatever they wish with it, even if we don’t like it it is going to happen, games change and so do our iconic charachters. Just look at pikachu, he changed so much throughout the games.

No.I like the current version and it would be a wasting to produce a new armor set just because its visor is damaged.

I just want it to make sense. Dont change chiefs armor when hes lost in space. If he goes back to the armory, changes it up, I can get it thru my head thats what happened.

It’s already upgraded to the best capacity that it can perform, Cortana would have used the nanobots to upgrade his armor in the way that was best fit. Then he got it replaced in Halo 4 due to sustained damage but they kept the add-ons because they were just better. Also makes sense why there’s no other armor like it in the series because it has been made uniquely by Cortana.

I like the Chief’s armor as it is. I see no reason to change. 343 was able to retain the Chief’s iconic look despite the changes in his design, look at Godzilla for instance. If he was to get a new suit and it looks different, it wouldn’t be him. Just be thankful that they didn’t change it to a point where they didn’t make him recognizable.
