If so, I think he should get a death scene like this. Replace the girl with Cortana and the man with Master Chief and it’ll be perfect.
Thoughts on this? How do I send this idea to 343?

Really? I know you’re not serious, but this thread has no place here.
Heheh. I tried to imagine Chief screaming like that… failed.
Why does this topic keep popping up. O can assure you that he isn’t dieing in halo 4, let alone 5.

End of Halo 6, I think yes. He should have a hero’s death - go out with a bang, but his death should be left ambiguous. There should be a small chance he survives whatever it is that’s supposedly offing him, leaving room for speculation.
Either that, or he should become General of the UNSC or something.
Steve Downes thinks so. You gunna argue with the man who voices Chief?
hes gonna be too old someday, in halo 9 when he will be 87 years old, he’ll die from a heart attack lol.
> Steve Downes thinks so. You gunna argue with the man who voices Chief?
I will actually. I don’t think Chief should die. That’s my opinion, of course, but it just seems… wrong to me.

What is wrong about him dying? The man has nothing left to go back to. His planet was glassed along with most of his family I’m sure and even if he found some who survived can you imagine what would happen? He was supposedly dead for over 40 years and would bring back fresh wounds.

I think it would be cool to see John go out like a cross between Commander Shepard in Mass Effect 3 and Batman in The Dark Knight Rises, minus the whole “becoming an omniscient AI who controls the enemy machines” and “faking death to go live in luxury in a different country” thing. The UNSC could be completely beleaguered, backs against the wall, and Master Chief could make a silent-but-huge sacrifice to save humanity. In the aftermath, Master Chief is officially believed to be KIA, but we see some evidence that doesn’t quite stack up, leaving some ambiguity there. I’m just brainstorming though - there’s probably a much better way to execute a heroic-mysterious-sacrificial death for the Chief.
Marine: Chief, it would be best for everyone for you to just die.
shoots in the head
Master chief teabags dead marine and throws sticky grenade at warthog

In 2589, Reach was no longer glassed. It healed, and has grass. I’m sure Eridanus II healed from its glassings also.
I believe he should be put into a Forerunner’s armor. You can survive very, very, very long in that armor. Put John in one of those, let him chill or do whatever he wants to do, and he’ll become a forever living legend, literally.
Only if its in a perfect way…and yeah i know thats a lot to ask for lol
They should have that as the legendary ending. For serious.
He’ll die, we’ll hear the respawn timer, and he’ll be back.

We don’t even know if that is going to remain canon. And even then, it would make sense for Reach to be healed first since it’s the closest to the Sol System, I doubt Eridanus gets high priority.
And you do know that armor can’t people alive forever right? Forerunners have naturally long lifespans that go well into the thousands, humans do not. And even then, we still see the use of things like Cryptums. Honestly I find it insulting to keep the Chief hooked up to a machine to have him live forever just so Halo can be milked past it’s prime.
Where do you go after an insane evil that can threaten the universe?

This sounds perfect. “Spartans never die” anyways, so that would fit the character perfectly.
Master Chief, MIA.
Couldn’t end this trilogy any better.
That is exactly how it should end
