Should I?

should I get this game? I heard it is great…but can you still get all the achievements? Do enough people still play?

Yes, you can still get all the achievements. I really enjoyed playing the campaign and getting all the achievements again.

People still play the game, but not many.

I’d say it’s worth it.

Never gonna tell someone not to buy a game! But seriously, it’s a lot of fun and worth the purchase

I feel that it would be worth it I like the strategy theme that the gameplay is,its fun I love playing it

Not sure if you’re asking about the original or Definitive Edition, but I’d highly recommend the original. The DE has a ton of issues like inconsistent framerate, weird physics, and terrible networking. Save yourself the hassle and get the original in case you haven’t played it yet. If you have played the original and are prepared to deal with the problems I mentioned above, the DE is a cool way to experience the game again with some cleaner graphics.

Highly recommend it over Halo wars 2 lol. I’ve owned Halo Wars for years and i still play it often.

Just out of curiosity, why over Halo Wars 2? I have both but haven’t played either of them more than a handful of hours.

I prefer the simple visuals and graphic stylings. The way bases look in Halo wars 1 look more appealing to me as well.

Yes, Halo wars 1 was way better than halo wars 2. I remember getting Halo wars and I couldn’t stop playing it. I’ve been debating downloading the new version. But i still have the disc so I’m gaming with that still.

I personally believe that Halo Wars tested the RTS waters in a really great way, with having A.I. Skirmish matches that gave you a rating based on your performance, having a choice between competitive and casual play via Party teams and solo entry into 2v2s/3v3s. The maps were engaging and always brought something new to the mix. Halo Wars implemented the foundation that left people itching for a sequel— you even had an achievement meeting you there.

While Halo Wars 2 expanded on what Halo Wars put in place, I personally feel that it was lacking the replayability that Halo Wars had. Whether it be in the maps, lack of quality and quantity of them or going into matchmaking either to win easily or be torn to shreds. I preferred the random based team plays as it gave you a sandbox to work with teammates in a casual yet fun manner rather than pinning you against 3 Heroic A.I., but that’s just me.

I love 343i’s take on the story and the overall design of Halo Wars 2. The nods to the old characters in a new setting and characters from the expanded universe really give me the sense that 343i really cares about Halo and the community it’s grown with throughout the years.

Yes i can confirm it its a great game to play

Its brought me more enjoyment than most games I’ve gotten in awhile. A worthwhile purchase if you ask me.
