Should I wait to open Warzone REQ packs?

I recently got the Halo 5 Digital Deluxe Edition which includes the Warzone REQ packs. I was wondering if I should open them as soon as they are available or wait until I open a bunch of Bronze and Silver packs first? Will it increase my chances of getting better items if I wait?

The warzone packs will give you anything you haven’t got yet, which means you could get some really good or really bad stuff.
i would open them after you finish silver packs

Honestly if your planning on playing a lot just open them I think. Remember to get your silver’s to get your common to rares first then go for your golds.

Doing silver packs first seems to be the more recommended way to go. And I think they issue 2 packs a week for 7 weeks so I will hold onto them for now. Thanks

You could always open one and save one.

Yeah, open one, save one.

Although your playing more for gold, you do get that chance of legendary or ultra rare. I didn’t understand how the system worked for ages and I got a bunch of cool ultra rare early.

I had the same situation. I waited and waited but it was really worth it. It will save you a lot of req points.

I guess there’s a lot of luck involved then? I’m trying to learn what I can about the system in order to get the most out of req packs (without spending money). If I manage to get some cool starter armor I’ll be happy with working through bronze and silver first.

There does seem to be a system to opening req packs in order to get the most out of them. I haven’t quite figured it out yet, but I am holding onto my req cards for now.

Save them, 14 packs is 42 unlocks, which translates to 21 gold packs: you save 210,000 REQ points, which is about 40 hours of gameplay.

Wait until you have all common, uncommon, and rare permanent unlocks.

I’m not too sure but I made a living off of bronze packs when it came to unlocking a lot of the common to uncommon items during the earlier months (around release), by the time I got the silver, I only needed very few till I moved up to gold. I tried with a second account the same tactic, but noticed the bronze packs were either modified or updated to give you basically nothing outside of a few really, really random cards.

Not really sure about those packs…seem like they’ll be a bit unpredictable. Bad enough that the only pack still left for unlocking for me is the gold packs since Silver, Bronze don’t give me anything useful anymore.

Should I focus on bronze packs first or bronze and silver together? According to the REQ Store, Bronze packs contain common REQs with a ‘chance’ at a permanent unlock, whereas Silver packs contain 2 permanent common to rare unlocks. 5000 REQ points can buy 1 silver or 4 bronze packs, so I’m not sure which ones I should spend points on. I don’t know how often permanent unlocks occur with Bronze. Is there a way to find out?

Wait and open up , silverbacks at most until you eliminate the common in common . The Warsaw Pact can give me some nice stuff .

Yeah, I’ve watched older videos of pack openings, and someone got a Common BR with a bayonet–which is now Rare and above. Warzone Turbo was frustrating for me the first couple of times around, because I had neither a weapon with a bayonet, nor the Improved Shields armor mod. So I just got totally wrecked by people who had the Improved Strength armor mod, which wasn’t very fun IMO.

I just stuck with Bronze until I was getting REQ points, and then I moved on to Silver. There will be streaks where you get unlocks, and ones where you don’t, but I’m pretty sure that you save a little bit of RP in the long run.

Do you think I should focus more on silver packs over bronze, then? The REQ Store says that bronze packs only give a ‘chance’ at a permanent common unlock whereas silver gives 2 permanent common to rare unlocks per pack. I know 343 has been making changes to the REQ system, so it’s probably very different now than it was closer to the game’s release. I don’t know if I should even spend too much time opening bronze packs if I’m not guaranteed any permanent unlocks.
