I prefer not to use them as I’m worried others will think I’m ‘unoriginal’ but I have made a few maps mostly comprised of prefabs before so should I continue?
If it makes a map cool and fun to play games on, why not?
I don’t know how to use forge so I use prefabs all the time.
Prefab is using an already forged or existing map?
Depends on if it fits your map’s theme. If you can make it fit and not stick out as a prefab I think that it’s fine. If you just make a map out of only prefabs, then people will judge you pretty hard tbh.

Prefabs are pre-made items that were made by another person. Prefabs can range from furniture, buildings, and vehicles to name a few.

Ah interesting. I forged a bit in H3, but since then im way out of touch.
I never understood why anyone would use prefabs. They save little enough time as to not even matter. They’re not a shortcut for the clock - they’re a shortcut for creativity, and I always thought that creativity was the whole point of forge.

At least I have a lot of use for my own prefabs. I’ve built six derby maps for me and my friends to play and attempted many more maps and each time it’s very useful to transport some script brains and structures as prefabs from map to map instead of creating them all over again. Saves easily 10-20 minutes per map for me. But using other’s prefabs for anything other than screwing around or checking them out? Not for me, I’ll create everything from ground up myself. Like you said, a shortcut for creativity if you use someone else’s prefabs.
