Should i play reach or halo 3

while i wait for halo 4 id just like to know which game i should play, halo reach or halo 3
im just wondering cause ive noticed when i first started playing halo 3 for the first time after playing reach i did great… so would which do you guys think would be better?

Both

Reach should get you in the mood better

Both. Play H3 for the physics/movement and play Reach for the added stuff.

Halo 3 and then Reach.

Play whatever you enjoy playing the most.

As far as closest, at it’s core Halo 4 feels like an evolution of Halo 3 based on lessons learned from Reach.

you should play both and halo wars.

Pretty much this, movement speed, jump height, basic movement is like Halo 3’s, also, with the BR back you’ll want to practice with it, and also get used to melee bleedthrough again, so definitely practice some Halo 3.

Play Reach for some DMR practice, along with the fact that Halo: Reach has AA’s and you want to get used to using those, mainly Sprint, which will be default in 4.

Ultimately, Halo 4 will feel like it’s own beast, its aiming or shooting may feel different, so no matter what you decide to do, don’t go into Halo 4 with your head held high and get cocky just because you got used to the other games. There will (most likely) be a little bit of a learning curve, especially with the new control schemes (I’m stumped between Default and Recon . . . although there was one control scheme posted a while back that I would have loved . . . had Sprint and the AA’s on bumpers and on the other buttons it had CE controls).

Anyway, good luck.

I’m not trying to be dismissive towards Halo: Reach, but you should probably play that so the increase in awesome when you jump into 4 will be more impressive.

Neither, in fact don’t play any Halo with the intention of trying to train for Halo 4. Only the wise Jedi members of this forum know what I’m talking about a guy made a very good video about this a while ago.

I lol’d.

This.

It is best to have an open mind when starting a new game so that the things you are used to from previous/other games don’t hold you back when trying to learn the mechanics and controls.

I said it he explained it. Thank you.
Don’t train for Halo 4 go in as a noob but with good aim.

I’d say Reach, simply because I can’t play Halo 3 without lagging like CRAZY!
Halo 4 seems to have aspects of both, so if you plan to use a BR, maybe sharpen your BR skills.
I’m a DMR boyo, so I’mma play Reach :stuck_out_tongue:

I always get REALLY long death screens (i.e., “Respawn in 3” for 30 seconds) in Lone Wolves -.-

Which ever one you like more.

Play Halo 3. It’s a far better game overall.

Play which one you enjoy the most.

I’ve been playing Halo 3 lately.
