I know it shouldn’t matter but something about opening them before the 9gig update makes me nervous. I was just seeing what people in the forums were doing. I have quite a bit to open so I might only open one of my duplicates to see if opening packs in game has more of a rewarding feel to it. Any of you guys experiences with opening them would be greatly appreciated.
You can - I have been.
I redeemed them on Xbox.com, saw the download happen in seconds on my Xbox One, and then checked the Requisitions section to see I had an unopened pack. Everything worked great.

I just opened a low level pack and got quite a few heavy weapons and vehicles, no permanents though. Anyone get any cool permanents or legendary weapons yet?
I opened them as soon as I found out I could on waypoint here!
