Hi, it’s been a long time since I’ve played Halo and ever since I’ve heard about the release coming to pc I can’t stop thinking about it! Anyways back to the point, I wonder if I should make a fresh xbox-live account because I have a really high rank in a lot of the playlist’s for MCC? I really don’t see myself jumping right into the higher ranks and doing well, seeing as the amount of time it’s been since I’ve played Halo. I really wish there was a rank reset option or something like that, I just know I’m going to want to play ranked on pc and I’m torn about keeping this account or just starting a fresh one.
Also I’m not exactly sure if my current ranks on this account will carry over to the pc version. While I have heard that stats carry over. I don’t know if that means my ranks or just my achievements or what? Since they’re releasing the titles one at a time maybe there will be different playlists and I will be at the starting rank.
Your current stats and achievements will not carry over to your new account. In addition, you need to link a different email to that other account in order to use it.

I understand that if I were to make a new account that nothing would carry over. That’s why I was thinking about doing that because of the above stated reasons. Unless you’re saying that my current ranks on this account will not be carried over to the pc version, in that case problem solved.
Make a new account, try it out on pc, and if you find it do able use your main account from then onwards.
Just to suggest alternative, warm up on social matches. That is if you dont like the idea of starting a new account alltogether.
you can play out of rankeds with your normal account so you will not have problems with your ranks but if you are worried, better create a new one and accustom to playing on pc and then you can use your main account

If you use the same account I’m sure PC players can only play with other PC players so everyone will be shaky for the first few weeks. If I were you I’d keep the same account and practice in customs.
