Should I give this game another chance?

I don’t know if I should or not. To be quite honest, if it weren’t for my brother getting the Xbox One I wouldn’t even bother with buying one. (The PS4 looks a million times better than the X1.) But since he is, (and he’s not getting Halo 5) I’m wondering if I should. Halo 4 was pretty much a disappointment all around. It’s fun every once in a while but it’s still seems very unpolished and almost rushed.

I have to ask you guys, are you getting Halo 5 for the X1? And why?

Yes, I do plan to get Halo 5.

Reasons I want to get Halo 5
-I love the Halo story and games
-343i realized its mistakes with Halo 4 and wants to improve
-343i has their biggest team working on it
-Xbox One has incredible fancy tech
-I want to see what 343i is going to do for the supposed comeback

…And that’s basically it, not much more to it imo.

I’m not going to be getting an Xbox One till late 2014 at the earliest.
Honestly Halo is the only console exclusive I play anymore and if Halo 5 doesn’t turn out to be what I view as “a true Halo game” then I’ll probably just pass on the system.

I’m not getting the X1 just for Halo 5 because from what I’ve heard Microsoft are only supporting the 360 for another 5 yrs I believe. Plus, the Xbox one will make games run smoothly. ( to do the fact that Halo 4 was pushing the 360 limits.) Also why not get the X1 with all the games on it like BF4, Destiny, Titanfall, and Wolfenstein. It just natural progression to get something better that will help make you’re games play better.

If Microsoft releases a Halo 5 themed Xbox One (which I’m certain they will), then that’s what I’ll get.

But yes, give 343 and Halo one more chance.

I’d say give them and the game another chance. Halo is too great of a game and franchise to just easily throw away.

I am curious to see if 343i will learn from their mistakes and many experiences. Really hoping Halo Xbox One can recapture some of that old lost magic!

Destiny and BF4 are both on PS4 though.

I was thinking of skipping the next Halo until I heard the words “Dedicated Servers”. Now I’m intrigued and on the fence. Confirmation of descoping would probably shove me right off of that fence.

I’m deciding weather to stay with Halo and Get a Xbox 1 or Buy a New PC to get halo 4…

Any help guys :frowning:

You should get it, I’m sure it will better than 4, although my hopes aren’t that high.

Why not bro? 343 acknowledged their mistakes, and they have been actually listening to the community (more or less). I have some faith.

While I do have hope for 343, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed that many things were lacking in Halo 4. It was more disappointing to have to get a TU to get things going in the right direction. That’s what most of us don’t want- a game that is missing many things.

I’m going to get Halo 5 when there’s a price drop for the X1, though. 500$? That’s really expensive.

I honestly don’t understand what makes a PS4 so much more attractive than a Xbox One.

Well, if I set my hopes to high I may just get disappointed. If I have lower standards for it then if it turns out to be really good, I’ll actually get really excited and be really happy. But when games disappoint expectations it really does suck.

True that. I have lost a lot of my trust in 343. But I have a little faith because they know they messed up and can’t afford to again. I think they’re going to make Halo 5 truly great.

Yea, I know, but I’m more of a Xbox guy.

If you can, rent it first.

I’m shocked at the thought people would be planning to buy a game without knowing a single thing about it other than the name.

No, not until more info about the game is released.

Well I’m getting the console now that Kinect isn’t mandatory

And of course I’ll be getting the next Halo. For the Campaign primarily.

I’m sure Multiplayer will be better too.

If Halo 5 has dedicated servers, 343 may be planning something big.

I know it is continuing the story, that’s enough to convince me
