I was wondering if you guys thought that the DLC was worth buying. My gamerscore for Halo 4 is 920 right now and I kind of want to get some more achievements. But, at the same time, I don’t want to waste $10-25, so is it worth it? Should I just get one map pack or all three? Also please don’t turn this thread into a discussion about how 343 completely screwed up Halo, because I don’t want to waste my time reading off topic posts.
Get all three, and save up for Champion Bundle as well. Then again, i believe 343 should add a DLC playlist, but its worth having, cuz you never know if your lucky to run into a DLC map.
Depending how cool your friend is, you can get the maps for free or half off. That’s what I’m doing for the Champion bundle, purchase one and my friend and I will be able to use it.
You should buy season pass and new dlc that comes 8.20.
Whay?
Beacause maps are great. Better then most of vanilla maps.
And you buying it will increase chance of playing with other players.
Every player in lobby must have dlc to play it, but almost always someone is in the party with someone who dosn’t have dlc.
I voted for no, even though I got the season pass for free.
The reason why is, because I got it 3 months ago, and I have yet to play Skyline in matchmaking.
I never did.
I’ve played Majestic maps like 3 times and that was it, did I mention I haven’t played crimson maps since december? (I played it now, because there is a playlist for it)
I bought the map pass 2 weeks ago now but haven’t had any time for any gaming since so I’m yet to try them out.
If you play Halo a bunch and £18 (UK) isn’t a great deal to you then I say go for it, theres meant to be some great maps in there even if they do barely come up it’ll still add a bit of variety.
EDIT: just remembered I bought ODST a couple of months back and still haven’t played it - maybe I’m not the one to take advice from

Most Maps in the individual packs are BTB maps. So if you are not interested in BTB, you should simply skip all the DLC and wait until it gets cheaper.
The Championsbundle DLC also will have only 2 maps. It’s basically just a gimmicks pack in general.
The maps are pretty good, I have the 3 maps packs that came with the Limited Edition H4.
However, unless you play loads of customs don’t bother. All I play is MM and I get one of the DLC maps maybe one in every 50 - 100 games. Complete waste of money IMO.
Personally, I think you should get all 3 DLC packs, PLUS the Champions Bundle when that releases.
Crimson pack gives access to very good objective-based maps and gameplay.
Majestic pack gives 3 small-scale competitive maps built for FFA and small Team Slayer.
Castle pack gives access to 3 of the best maps in Halo 4 (IMO), giving you 3 BTB-style maps that are also very fun to play objective on too.
And with the Champions Bundle (when it releases), you get the first interactive field map in Halo 4 - Vertigo - as well as a remake of one of the best maps in Halo multiplayer history - Pitfall (a.k.a. Halo 3’s “The Pit”). And, to go with it you get so much extras, such as the Steel weapon skin pack, which contains steampunk-style weapon skins for every loadout weapon in the game. You also get a bonus weapon skin pack that contains 2 new Assault Rifle skins, 2 new Magnum skins, and a new Battle Rifle skin. There is also the Infinity Armor pack, which comes with Prefect, ODST, and Mark V armor, as well as an Armor Skin pack that contains 5 new armor skins. There will also be a new gametype and armor, both called Ricochet, which seems to be a Halo 4 version of Football. And last but not least there are new tactical and support packages for your loadouts - 3 if I’m not mistaken.
I’d only bother with buying DLC that gets you new armor and skins. Map DLC is a waste of money because the maps will never appear unless you’re playing the specific DLC playlist and even that will be eliminated like all the others have been.
All the map packs are worth it, Castle is my favorite out of them. The Champions Bundle DLC is more than just maps this time, which is nice since they are adding armor, weapon skins, and a new gametype.
