i think you should, and maybe you happen to be interested in SPV3 too? I know i might get Halo: Combat Evolved for PC to play SPV3 when its entirely released. To be honest the SPV3 seems more interesting than the newer Halo games.
You’ll need to download the new Bungie update for it, since Gamespy discontinued the serves.
If you like playing modded games, then Halo PC is definitely for you.
Although I don’t play it anymore, Halo CE on the computer was a ton of fun for me. Used to play it in one of my computer programming classes with the rest of the students. Had huge games on Blood Gulch (my mind is blanking if it had a different name in CE). I would suggest getting it, it’s fun and another source you’re able to play the best game franchise ever on!

I was on the verge of getting it as well. But now all my questions are answered!
The population has dwindled over the years, but it’s miraculously still somewhat alive. I still play it occasionally. It has been my favorite Halo game for its multiplayer experience, even if it’s no longer what it was in its heyday.

Bungie and Microsoft made Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 2 available on the PC. But it can only be played on certain Windows operating systems.
It can be played on all Windows versions, just need to do some extra installs like getting Chat to work.
Also, I highly recommend to download OpenSauce (http://www.halomods.com/ips/index.php?/topic/848-opensauce-v400-release/) as it upgrades the old Halo CE Engine to work better with current hardware

I was just gonna get it since I wanna play BTB and not get Halo 3 90%of the time and the other 10% have everyone usually quit it to the point where it basically becomes a 4v3 or even a 1v7 one time. Oh and Custom Edition. I think that could work on Mac.
