Should I get Halo 5 in 2018?

Is this game still worth getting in 2018? Is it still active? Would you still get matches ect ect…
-thanks

You can still find games fairly quickly. Occasionally you’ll get stuck in a longer search time the higher you climb in the ranks in Arena playlists, like SWAT and Team Snipers, but aside from that, the only other playlist I can’t find matches in would be Warzone Assault, which is a 24 player game mode.

I think it’s worth the experience, it’s cheap enough to buy and there’s no indication at this stage when H6 will be released. I’m new to H5 and it’s definately worth giving it a go…

I’d watch videos to see if this is your taste halo 5 isn’t for everyone

If you can get it for $20 or less (which you can) I’d say get it. Even if you don’t super like it, it’s not much money and cheaper then going out to the movies even lol

Just be prepared for a sizable download when you get it, I’d make sure you have enough data to get it

I’d say it’s worth it, but keep in mind in warzone you’ll be out gunned until you get your req collection up a bit. Arena is the best mode anyway, so that’s not a big deal. The campaign gets a lot of bashing due to the weak story line but it looks good and it’s pretty fun to play.

I would give it a try. It’s really cheap nowadays and it’s really easy to find matches. Be careful going into Warzone though as you’ll most likely be at a large disadvantage until you build up your REQ collection.

I got it just after Christmas in a bundle on a ONE S. It’s enjoyable. Coming into the game this late, I don’t play much slayer as people are just plain better than me!, but I’m enjoying Firefight and am planning to play some conventional Warzone once I finish the Firefight commendations.

Reach was my main past Halo experience. Played all but Halo 4 in some capacity over the years, but only significant time in Reach.

To add on, Halo 5 is about 106 GB in size. Ensure you have enough space on your hard drive!

Personally, I haven’t had trouble finding a match at any point and particularly with recent price drops and the game being available in the games pass it is definitely worth it.

I would say it’s worth getting. Most playlists are still fairly well populated, and you don’t usually have to wait too long to find matches.

If you are expecting a classic halo then no don’t buy it you should look up videos and see how it plays cause if your coming from a different halo game there’s a huge difference besides 4 of course but as mentioned above there is a huge amount of space required

Depends on what you mainly play and how good you are. If you’re a little above average or lower, then you shouldn’t have a problem finding games, but if you’re a champion level player then it might be more difficult. I’m assuming you’ve seen H5 by now so the abilities shouldn’t bother you.

Pricing for it isn’t bad at all, something like $20-ish. Just be aware that there will be a LOT to download. So if you got the storage space, I’d say go for it.

itll be 20-ish USD, which is a pretty great price for the game. Halo 6 might be a year or so still. Halo 5 is fairly active. finding a match typically takes a minute at the longest from my experience. Just be sure you have a solid 100Gb of storage on your xbox because file compression isnt a thing at 343i

It is still pretty active, and I imagine you can get it pretty cheap now (it’s actually free on the xbox game pass thing if you own that). But be warned, if you’re going in as a fan of the pre-2010 Halo games, it is drastically different from games like Halo 3 in a lot of ways. They’ve added aiming down sights, sprint, clamber, ground pounds and other random armour abilities as well as an entirely new artstyle. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it may be a bit harder to get used to if you’re a Halo CE/2/3/maybe even Reach veteran. Also the game has a pretty wide skill gap, it’s probably one of, if not the hardest Halo game to master. The campaign’s story also has a lot of problems, but the gameplay is still decently fun.

No, I personally can not find any ranked matches. Plus, the game isn’t all that fun. You’d be better off playing Reach or Call of Duty.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I got a 14 day free trial for game pass
to test it out.

It is entertaining and funny. Sometimes it can be frustrating but well, it happens. But do not expect a Halo as Halo Reach. Every Halo has his style and well I think each one is ok an it makes different of the others. It would be a good buy… I think.

The answer is always yes. It doesnt matter which Halo it is you can always find value playing campaign.
