I really love halo 3 but I don’t have any dlc neither ODST, so I just play on social slayer, lone wolfs or team slayer. So I was wondering, is it worth it to buy odst now(just for the maps)? I mean, what’s the population on the dlc required playlists right now?
I can only speak for the unranked sections. It may take a minute or three but you can get into BTB and Rumble Pit without much trouble. I don’t think anyone plays Team Mythic. I haven’t tried any of the other playlists recently save 7 on the 7th and that matched up quick enough.
As for is it worth it, for under $20 I’d say so. I believe it is or it will be going on sale for $10 at Gamestop very soon, it’s a steal at that price.
The maps are great fun and there’ll be a population boost soon. Neve rmind the fact that you get a great campaign and firefight.
Hit me up some time me and several of my friends are slowly working our way back to Halo 3.
I’d say yes if you enjoy ODST. I’ll probably pick up ODST because I love the game and the population on Halo 3 is probably gonna go up a bit with it coming out as a Free Game soon.
To me ODST is an under-rated game.It has a great campaign and the original Firefight is better than Reach’s as it is actually a challenge. Add the fact the game is pretty cheap to buy, since you get all the Halo 3 DLC bundled with it for less than what it costs to buy them separately. So if I were you,yes I’d buy ODST for its own campaign and the Halo 3 multiplayer disc so that you have access to all the playlists.
ODST was one of my favorites. The campaign is difficult and refreshing, and Firefight is crazy addictive (at least it was back when it was new and myself and my 3 friends stayed up late playing it).

You just have to make it challenging for yourself
The firefight playlist is easy, come on rocket fight, arcade fight.
just go into firefight, beef it up to legendary, increase your schields a little and make the enemy’s smarter with skulls
