Are golds a waste of points?
Go for the Gold and always the Gold. You get other req packs as you level up your SR and as you accomplish accommodations. Concentrate on those rares.
I buy Silver packs mostly, simply because you can get two for the price of one Gold. It depends what you’re after in your REQ packs. If you’re looking for weapons and vehicles ect, then the Gold pack will give you more. However, if you’re trying to collect armour and/or weapon skins, the Gold and Silver packs will both give 2 permanent unlocks.
TL;DR: If you want weapons/vehicles, go for Gold. If you want armour/weapon skins, go for Silver.

once you get all legendary armor, except the MCC armor, which is locked. You get 6000 rp instead of armor…
I started off buying only Golds and I maybe got 3-4 cosmetic unlocks out of 5-6 packs. (I don’t really care about ability boosts I really only want cosmetic unlocks)
i started buying bronze packs, I opened 10-12 packs and received 9-10 cosmetic unlocks.
i don’t think gold or bronze packs really matter, I think the only think that matters is quantity. Open as many packs as you can.
