Are you having fun? Keep playing.
Are you not having fun? Go play something else that will cause you joy.
Just stop making all these pity party posts. No one cares and you can make your own decisions without a forum.
I have a friend that literally refuses to play Infinite, dude will go like 1-10 in a BTB match somehow, its baffling.
Practice. You will never improve just whining and not playing. I spent probably a dozen hours improving my curb slides… What exactly makes you think your so special?
Learn the game. Watch pro play, watch tips and tricks videos. If you play BTB maybe watch a more casual Youtube channel. I’ve learned a lot from watching pros and so can you
Mindset. Depending on your setup, it is very well possible the game is skewed against you. If you play on 30fps, with horrendous lag, default controls, etc. you are in for a rough time most likely. So one has to set themselves up for success, in gaming and out.
Edit: No matter how bad you are, you can always be decent with vehicles or just with general strategy and tactics. Be the flag guy, be the wasp user, be the gunner, etc. Not all battles are run by boots on the ground, at least not in BTB.
Maybe abandon Infinite. MCC has plenty of people playing firefight and wacky custom games that are fun. Even if you have moderate skill in Infinite, the lag or desync makes every engagement a toss up.
I don’t play ranked.
About 6 months after Ce
Controller input
Increased horizontal sensitivity minimal dead zones
Infinite default but i switched meele for equipment use
Land grab/ objectives to predict enemy movement
Make some friends on Halo infinite or on the forums to play with. Halo is most fun when you’re with people you enjoy playing with. They can give you in game advice and help you when you need it. There’s no force as strong or as fun as a coordinated team of friends.
Play it for a bit. It is mostly objective, but without radar, which will improve map awareness and call-outs. You may not know this, but the BR is also a 2 shot melee in ranked only, and aiming is largely linked to the strafing stick - so focus on left and right movement to improve your aim.
Reset axial deadzone to default, and leave the radial ones as low as you can. Axial is utterly pointless and makes aiming worse.
Try increasing your look acceleration to 5 and leaving standard aiming sensitivity at 3. If you need to lower any of them, lower look acceleration. You can also get thumbstick “extenders” which allow for higher precision at a high look acceleration,
Presuming you’re on a standard controller, start using bumper jumper. Takes getting used to, but it means you can jump, aim and sprint at the same time, great for trick jumps etc via Shyway.
I know you don’t play ranked, but the algorithm that places you into games works exactly the same on social. You may as well get used to zero radar and 5 shot kills. Getting a rank also allows people to more effectively advise you; because you could be really good…but we just can’t tell
If you’re GMT I play between 9:30 and 12pm when I can. You’re welcome to join.
Moist Morsel is the gamertag
Desync might be the problem. I was having some significant issues with it yesterday simply making my shots not register, so hopefully that is what’s causing you problems. Otherwise it’s just bad design and low population that’s causing the problem. Low population means less people of similar skill level for SBMM to match you up with which will mean you’re going to be facing the few diehards that are sticking out this rough patch. Bad design is on the lack of identical modes in ranked which leads to a failure to contain sweats.
I read yesterday of an instance where a player went 0-11 in one match on a Social mode and was promptly banned for “unsportsmanlike conduct” or something to that effect. Essentially that individual was banned for being bad. This is just an example of the poorly thought out systems in play here.
Ranked needs to be designed to contain the sweats so Social can remain the chill place it always was intended to be.
I say if you are having fun who cares just enjoy yourself and the game!
Maybe try to follow a teammate instead of going by yourself
Maybe adjust your controller/PC settings if you haven’t done so. I know the default settings were not working for me I had to tweak my sensitivity, dead zones, thershold, FOV, reticle thickness and opacity along with the color of the enemy team outline. I know people have even messed with the placement of the gun on the screen you just have to see what works and feel right for you I would highly suggest to turn off vibration as well if you still have it on.
I hope these suggestions helped there’s plenty of videos on youtube with other peoples advice, tips, and suggestions as well
People generally do bad till they adjust to games, get better and grow. You have to give yourself some time to grow though. No one starts off top of the line either.
Giving up just ensures you’ll never get better.
If anything, practice in vs bot matches and do the weapon range first before giving up. The bots are easy, you play with other players, you can get better a feel for each weapon and more this way. Watch how other players act too, you can learn from them.
Lastly, youtube video’s, look up tips for new players. Stuff that might not be transparent while playing can be explained by other players there.
Worse comes to worse, ask here for friends to play with. There are people who genuinely like helping out new players preform as well. =]
