I understand this is redundant and beat to death, but i feel all this talk about which weapon is better etc is killing what halo used to be.
I do realize halo has to evolve and offer more for the future generation of players, but loadouts was not the direction halo should have taken. (at least with the starting weapons).
why? I don’t think there is a way to balance dmr/br. With the large scale maps, why choose br? (aside from abandon).
at least with ar start, everyone was on the same playing field. You had to find that br(halo 3), or dmr (reach) to get the edge on someone. even Br slayer or dmr slayer, there was no other weapon but power weapons to rival the starting weapons.
All this being said, I really do like halo 4. I’m having a lot of fun. Maybe they can add a playlist with static weapons on map and controlled primaries. Loadouts did not kill the fun for me. But it just changed how the game was played in general. I feel personal ordinance dominates. I’d rather have a predictable general ordinance. where everyone must compete to get the power weapons. This is what halo always has been.
maybe playing BTB has clouded my judgement. I’d love to know what you guys think.
