I got the $5 reservation card at Walmart for Halo 4, but I’m wondering if I should have gotten the LE. I know I can buy the Map Pack Pass for $25 but I’m just wondering if the LE is a better deal? But now I know the LE is basically sold out, so there goes that. Did I miss out on a good deal?
eh, i wouldnt waist 100 dollars (or whatever monitary system you go by) on a video game. But thats just my own opinion. The only thing i feel i’ll miss out on is the map packs.
Not really they pretty much made it worthless. It just has a armor skin, AR skin, FuD extended cut stream access and a avatar item. Plus the booklet and the tin case thing that will crack your disc cause theyre hard to get the disc out.
Plus when you buy the stand alone map pass thingy you get two helmets and a emblem that LE owners dont.
Map packs were definitely one of the best things about the LE, so atleast you got that 
Plus you get the 2 helmets and emblem we dont get… Curse you!! 
You’ll just be missing out on some skins, avatar props, collectible booklet, bonus FUD footage… Oh, and a biscuit tin.
It’s really up to you whether or not you want that stuff.
But hey, the GAME itself is the most important thing and atleast you’re getting the map packs.

Buy regular and Map pass, I my opinion the limited is just -Yoink-. You get some papers and some virtual stuff. I canceled my Limited when I heard what was in it…

If you feel that everything besides the maps (you don’t get the extra helmets) and game are worth 15 bucks then it is.
Tin, booklet, avatar stuff, FUD extended something, and skins. (specializations too, but I have no idea how long it will take to unlock them-you just get the chance to unlock them earlier).
I will admit, its kind of disappointing (my first not-standard edition too…) but you are really getting it to support Halo.

Of course, like all other players you have to work your way up towards the Specializations. Early access to Specializations has also become a pre-order bonus for people who buy Halo 4 at quite a lot of retail stores.
The Specializations doesn’t matter too much to me, because I want to start off with the Wetworks Specialization which is one of the Specializations ALL Halo 4 players get access to from the beginning.

Which stores have specializations as a pre-order bonus? And of course specializations don’t matter to you. You didn’t pre-order the LE. I’m sick of people putting down the LE because they aren’t getting it. Haters!

People are also forgetting the information packets and videos that come with it.

Hold on. Why can’t I get these 2 helmets and emblem? I paid more money for my copy, I pre-ordered months in advanced. I have to spend the extra on a map pass for the helmets? That’s a little messed up.

not actually there just telling you whatever floats your boat and i like that and plus i get 4 skins 2 from pre-order and 2 from the LE and the map pass and six specialzations and i still have money to burn haha. i dont mind spending $25 for the 2 helmets but im not that of a completion person so ill leave it alone until i want it.

Waste*
The biggest things in the LE were the War Games Map pack, Forward Unto Dawn extended version, and steelbook case. The skins, schematics, and fiction are all kind of a bonus. Yes, it’s a great deal, but if you want you can buy the Season Pass separately and I believe Forward Unto Dawn is being released later on DVD and Blu-Ray.
