I have always liked the idea of armor abilities especially since you can now use sprint while having a ability in halo 4 as long as they are not over powered and have a real use I Iike them
“Should” is irrelevant. Halo 4 HAS armour abilities. It seems like the entire gameplay is built off them, though, in a way. So, yes, it should have armour abilities. It’s a nice gameplay mechanic, anyway, as long as they’re well balanced.
I like where they’re going with the implementation of AAs. Rather than an armor ability deciding your playstyle, it merely serves to supplement it.
Well its a bit late for 343 to change anything now but for the sake of discussion…
Yes. I do believe that Halo 4 should have AA however these AA should be limited to non-competitive gametypes/non ranked gametypes and customs only. This way the majority of the people in the forums will be satisfied with Halo 4’s MM. Personally though, I don’t like them. In my opinion they are more of a hider to gameplay than an asset, although I know many people do enjoy them in MM.
I’m not sure I understand the point of this thread.

heres the problem.
the forum community who feels the way you do is a vocal minority. and an even smaller minority compared to the halo gamers as a whole. so it would be satisfying the wants of the few as opposed to the wants of the many.
Armor Abilities are kind of cool they make gameplay different, but personally I don’t like them and I wish Bungie never put them in Reach to begin with and now it looks like 343 have taken them one step (too far?) further in 4
I like the AA’s in Halo 4 because they seem well balanced and more reminiscent of the equipment from Halo 3. They all seem far better than the AA’s in Reach.
The one thing I dislike is sprint, simply because bigger maps are needed to accommodate it. I’m sure I’ll live with it though, it’s not that big of a deal.
Halo 4 has AAs, there is no question of should. Of course, we will see if 343 can succeed where Bungie just threw everything in with little regards to balance. 5 rocks, 1 paper if you will.
From what I’ve seen, it certainly looks like 343 has done a better job in balancing out what most see as an uncompetitive gimmick that further dilutes the skill gap. Me? I just want the damn game, I’ll have to time to get the details and try hard on the way later.
Of course, i really don’t want Jetpack in and Camo would have been perfect as a power up in an ordnance drop.
I want armour lock!!! :’( Why didn’t they put it in?

Halo of Duty: Reach 2.

Really? I played the beta and thought it was pretty good.

Because ‘Godmode’ ruins the flow of multi-player? lol.
