Should Halo Wars 2 join with Halo Infinite?

I have always loved the Halo Wars series, especially Halo Wars 2 since it redeemed 343 after Halo 5 with its good characters, plot, homage to the classics, perfect blend of old and new art styles, and the introduction of the Banished.

First, I would love to see the Spirit of Fire return and have Red Team work with Blue Team (goodbye Osiris(keep Buck)).
Second, I would LOVE to see the Banished become a major villain in the story.
Third, I would LOVE, LOVE to see an Atriox boss fight with Master Chief, Jerome, Arbiter, Lasky, and Palmer(show some respect okay).
And Finally, I would LOVE^3, to have a unique aspect to Jerome (hold your breath), this is one of the main reasons that I just want shield with no health bar just like Halo 2, 3, and 4. Since the MK IV M.J.O.L.N.I.R had no shields, why not just make it so that you have just armor and it repairs itself, this means that you have different sound effects and animations for taking damage and healing to make Jerome more unique.

Anyway, I would love for these things to happen, what are your thoughts?

From How Halo Wars 2 ended it feels it will be connected somehow. I would love for the spirit of fire to be back, and see some changes in Osiris (I did like buck and Vale). Its just matter of time to see what path they take, and I cant wait to finally be playing it.

Having Ford step in to fill the Sgt Johnson void would be nice… Shame all the sergeants have to keep dying…

I’m hoping that the characters from Halo Wars are added into Halo Infinite. Personally, I think Atriox and his banished forces should join Master Chief and The Arbiter to fight Cortana and the Forerunners. They’re gonna need all the help they can get. Atriox and Arbiter can relate to one another given their history with the Covenant and the whole “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” plays into the scenario perfectly.

yes adding them would be amazing, after all this could be the ring Anders is on. The classic Reach assault rifle and other things are showing us proof that this could actually happen.

Wow I never thought of that!

i mean it’s very possible with all of these things pointing back to them. We’ll see.

I wouldn’t at all mind seeing any of the characters from HW2 join the fray of Infinite. I’d especially like to fight some Banished in Infinite! It’d be cool to fight Brutes again. Besides, I think Brutes are more 343’s style of enemy.

I’m not sure about HW2 intersecting with Infinite. Sure Cortana intercepted Anders and Installation 08, but the ring we see in Infinite’s trailer is Zeta Halo (07).

I suppose it is possible to have 2 Halos play a role in the story. Maybe she’s even already using 08’s local pulse to wipe out rebelling worlds.

As for the Spirt of Fire and the Banished, they are all stuck on the Ark right now. I don’t see them playing a role in Infinite, unless we end up going to the Ark.
which we could. And wake up everyone’s favorite plot device, Mendicant Bias. Bias could help Humanity deal with Cortana as a form of Atonement.

As long as their inclusion is explained, sure. Many players like me do not play rts games and I know nothing about Halo Wars 2. It could be very confusing if these characters appear without introduction or some in game file on them.

I think It would be the only way to bring them into the current events anders just encountered a guardian so it’s a no brainer. Would also be cool to see Red team meeting the remaining S2s.

I agree, not all spent hundreds of hours on Civ 5 and are obsessed with strategy.

An interesting theory!

As we temporarily teamed up with the Flood in Halo 3, I expect some sort of similar event in Halo Infinite.

I had a hunch that 343i would bring the Didact back for this, despite his composition in Halo: Escalation, however I think your idea for Atriox is much more likely.

Ever since I watched Avengers Endgame, I’ve been in love with the scene where Captain America, Thor, and Ironman team up to fight Thanos. Take that same scene but insert Master Chief, Arbiter, and Atriox teaming up to fight the Warden Eternal with Cortana backing him up. UNSC, Sanghelios, and Banished forces are locked in an epic battle against never ending waves of Forerunner forces. It would be insane! I’ve got goosebumps just thinking about it.

Of course, can we all agree that Atriox will probably betray them after the battle(considering his track record)?

It would be cool in my view to have a battle with the Didact and Cortana, and after the battle then have Atriox betray them.

I don’t see a betrayal happening, at least not in Halo Infinite. I was thinking that before a winner is decided in this epic battle, the game would end with The Flood rearing their ugly head and invading the battlefield. As soon as they do, the credits begin to roll. At that point, it’d be up to 343 Industries if they’d want to continue the story as DLC content similar to how Halo 4 Spartan Ops worked or wait until (Insert the next Halo game title).

I also love Halo Wars games but i would prefer if Halo Wars 3 came out and finish this series with Red team and Cutter,Anders. There could be great new enemy faction in Prometheans and maybe we could also have Spaceship battles.

Of course, but I did say AFTER the battle, but yes, I agree that Atriox would probably see the battle through because of his hatred for those who rule in dominion over others and betraying their beliefs, just as the Covenant did to him.

Halo Wars 2 was said to be connecting with Halo Infinite (back when being called Halo 6) and the ending did imply this further with Installation 09 coming into contact with a Guardian. But it’s hard to say if that promise will be kept now since there was said to be some changes in creative direction along with the fact Halo Infinite seems to focus on Installation 07.
