Should Halo Infinite have ambient wildlife?

What are the opinions on ambient wildlife? In the tech demo, we saw animals wandering the halo ring. Maybe this is only for the demo, but seeing as they showed a short process of layering the mechanics for wildlife, it is a possibility. It could be like Reach, where occasionally you saw a Moa, but what do you think?

Yes, it would make the world more immersive. I’d like to see Flood variants of wildlife if the Flood returns as well.

Flood wildlife, as in like infected animals? It’s a cool idea, especially if these types of wildlife are aggressive/territorial.

I’m all for some ambient wildlife, but I don’t want it to become a centerpiece of the game. Reach did a good job of having wildlife without making the wildlife intrusive. Perhaps Infinite could get a little more intensive with the wildlife, but I’m not a fan of making the wildlife integral to the game play.

Ambient wildlife is a must after that tech demo to be honest. And if the environments are going to be as big as we’re shown in that demo it would make sense for wildlife to be present. Kind of like the moa in Reach and what we saw in the demo. I’d rather not have them actually participate in combat or interact with players/npc that much, other than walking away from them.

I get the appeal of having animals be part of gameplay but I personally feel that even in the best examples (FarCry) it has always been a bit weird and not as cool as you’d want it to be. Just have them walk around and let that be it.

I think it would be cool, helps with immersion. Not a need for me though.

Yes.

I think this would be really interesting, some docile and some auto aggressive. Imagine what this could do to, let’s say, a warzone mode or varient.

We already seen Gúta on Reach.

Deer, Rhinos, Fish creatures at the least should be in the game to heighten the immersion of the environment. THINK Far Cry: Primal. The animals IMO need to have a sense of purpose. If there are going to be animals in the game and lots of them then there needs to be a reason why. Some animals should be friendly and others enemy like. Think of Dino Riders and how dinosaurs were used in that show.

Some people think it would take away from the game, which makes sense if it is over done. If you think of Rise of the Tomb Raider, there are certain areas that wolves will defend aggressively. If they did something like that for aggressive wildlife, I feel like that would be a fun addition it without taking away from the game.

Yep, Flood infected wildlife.
