So that 343 has enough time to create the perfect Halo game, have all of it’s contents on day one, make sure it is not a failure unlike the other titles (4, MCC, and 5), has a better written story, and change the community’s view on 343?
If you don’t know what development hell is, it means that a project or game is still in development without any progression. For example Half-Life 3.

How is it?
The whole of halo’s 4 and 5 weren’t failures 4’s campaign is amazing and 5’s multiplayer is unfrigginbelievable.
I don’t think you understand what development hell is.
What your asking for is a longer development for example instead of 3 years they doing it in 4.
If your still don’t understand. Development hell is when the studio is struggling to make the game, There is issues making the game or its not getting enough development focus. Halo 4 was the game in development hell (from what I heard)
Your entire post is counter-intuitive. Development hell is a game stuck in development with no signs of progress, like you said; how are they supposed to create the perfect Halo game with all of the expected content at launch when there’s no progress?

I see what you did there good sir
as for the OP’s question, i would rather just MS ask them HOW LONG they roughly need, and then let them just make the game! EVERY game i have played lately that got delayed was amazing! and i would rather a game be luanched when finished, not before.

My opinions exactly.
The MP of Halo 4 was not that good, and Halo 5’s story was just BARELY good. Level design was gr8 though.

Yeah, that’s how I feel about it. Not thrilled about the story, but Halo 5’s campaign is an absolute blast to play.
And … this might sound like lunacy … and maybe it’s because I’m a busy and/or patient person, but the way they handled Halo 5’s post-launch content (should-have-been-there-at-launch stuff) didn’t really bother me much. I’d rather them take the time and develop the game properly and get modes and features that work and function (especially after the MCC) … but at the same time, I’d rather the game release on time and not have it delayed 8 months because I want to play Halo … even if it is just Slayer and Warzone. So what’s wrong with having modes and features added in?
I mean, I don’t think it hurt the game … it’s been out for almost 9 months and they added a little over 2 million in physical sales just in the past two months. It’s still selling very well. It’s possible these content updates are intriguing people, even if they are mostly just things that should have been in since launch. I know the game didn’t do well at launch (I suspect a variety of reasons, but let’s say after the disappointment of Halo 4 and MCC, people were wary), so maybe people decided to wait or skip it altogether, then hearing of these constant updates changed their minds. Who knows? But according to what little info we have, the sales have been picking up steam, which, this late after launch is interesting, and according to 343 (with no actual numbers, but whatever, that’s what we got) Halo 5 has the highest player count and/or retention of any game since Halo 3 (not entirely clear if that means there are more total people playing than there were Reach and Halo 4, though that’s not hard to believe, or if it means those who are playing play more regularly and longer, or both).
Don’t get me wrong, ideally the game should release completed. But I don’t see what they did as the worst thing ever like many people here do. I mean, some people post “should have been there at launch” in such an accusatory fashion like 343 is going around kicking puppies and slapping kittens. Or maybe I’m just envious I don’t have as much time to play Halo so I didn’t feel the impact of such a stripped down game that had almost as few features as Halo 2.

I basically feel the same as you. I’ve played Halo 5 for what seems like hundreds of hours, and I’m still not tired of it.
