should halo 5 have a veto system?

just wondering if anyone wants the old veto system put back into the halo matchmaking franchise instead of the voting system we currently have.

I’m relatively new to the halo scene as opposed to most of you, but the few times i had played halo 3, i saw different maps and game types be played as opposed to the halo reach and current halo 4 system. I wouldn’t mind seeing it put into place.

i’d rather have voting but they should add back the none of the above option and make a draw a random map

Vetoing is much better than voting. Since Reach, players have always voted for the same maps over and over again, but vetoing allows some variety.

Yes, yes, and yes. The stupid voting system is terrible. I’d rather have a veto system like Halo 3 or no voting system at all. I get so tired of the same 3 things getting selected over and over again even if it’s the one I like being selected.

I prefer the Veto system as well, but instead of one veto round lets make it two rounds (on the 2nd veto round if the majority presses X the 3rd map loads). This would fix the problem of everybody constantly voting horrible maps like Settler.

I agree.

With the ability to choose the “non of the above” option really helps to give some variety among the maps, which is something that lately has been plaguing a lot of slayer game types in matchmaking as far as I have seen.

Veto

It makes it so that people aren’t constantly playing the same thing over and over again.

But Voting was extraordinarily broken in Halo 4, so it could improve in Halo 5. In Halo 4, you couldn’t change your vote, so if you accidentally voted for the wrong thing, you were screwed. There was also a small variety of choices and no “Non of the Above” option.

I would rather have a map preference system or map ranking system added so that you could select which maps you like, are OK with, and hate so that match making could optimize to your desire and find rooms you would prefer before voting comes into play.

It would be cool if there was a map filter so everyone can play the maps and gametypes they want

Agreed, although that may create possible problems in finding people.

I think vetoing was bad. You could never know what would come up next (which more times than not ended up being worse than the original option). I think Halo 4’s system is actually good (especially since they removed the dumb Halo Reach none-of-the-above option).

Ya, we called it the F U button. Press X to get screwed lol. I still liked it far more than the voting system. You should never let the inmates run the asylum. Variety is best. Exile over and over again for 4 months was terrible.
