Should Halo 4's Amory have REACH'S VARIANTS AS A FREE STARTING set?

This idea is quite simple to be, take all of the variants that were in Reach and set them as the free initial armory in Halo 4.
This would let all of your hard work from Reach be carried-over to Halo 4.
And, the rest of Halo’s armory would be 343’s ideas, which means even more stuff.
Also feel free to ad your own ideas for new variants.

Additions;
More attachments, and the option to pick any of them.
Attachments for other parts as well.

we should be able to add whatever attachments we want.

Im not sure if it can be done.

Also just a side note;
Bring back the Elephant.

I doubt we’ll see every single armory item from reach returning esp more obscure/unloved helms like JFO, but i’m sure the more iconic items will be back ( stuff like mark 5, mark 6 , recon …).

Nevertheless, if they plan to directly import reach items straight into halo 4, i’d prefer if we had to buy them again. It would feel very unsatisfying to buy a new game, pop it in only to realize you already own 25% of all unlocks. Besides, nothing carries over from previous games, not kdr, not achievemenms, and most likely not armory.

If you wanna get an item to “reward” you for playing previous games, nameplates or other minor things would do the job.

I’m just saying that it’d be a free start, we keep what we spent our time on. And so what if some of the armory is free, what do we lose?

What i’m trying to say is that - at least to me - the whole point of unlocks is to make you keep playing to, well unlock them. That’s what makes that kind of stuff addictive. So when i get halo 4, if i already unlock content in that game without playing it it would feel unsatisfactory to me: I would loose a goal in that new game.
That’s why i’d rather have to buy them again. Somthing to strive for.

Also in the eventuality 343 takes the reach armory into halo 4, i’m kinda doubtfull they wouldn’t take the easy/lazy route and makes LESS new armor since “there’s already so much content”. So we’d end up having not enough new shinies to spend our currency on. At least even if 343 is lazy but they make the reach armory cost cr in halo 4, that’ll mean we still got stuff to do.

I think you want somthing to say " thanks for playing reach" in halo 4. Thats why i suggested getting a reach nameplate for halo 4. Its minor enough that you feel happy to get something for your effort, but it’s not so consequetial as to make completing halo 4 a breeze.

I don’t care if we get them back or not, as long as i get my MkV.

I would like to see a lot more armor in Halo 4. And maybe if it were to actually do something.

NO. It ruins the feeling of awesomeness when you unlock armor.

They should give you like 2 at the start, like before; default, and Hazop or something.

But I wanna have a separate Front Attachment, Left Attachment, and Right Attachment, all being available to all Helmets; I should be able to put a flashlight on both sides of my head AND a headband.

Like So.

No, I’d prefer if 343i made mostly new armor, starting with nothing and growing from there is the best way to do it.

I don’t think so. Having our armor already given to us at the beginning takes away replay value. As much as I want my CQB helmet, it’ll feel better if I earned it.
