I for one love Halo music and would greatly appreciate if 343 would put some previous Halo songs in Halo 4. It would would be great if they could include a skull or skulls which play previous songs from Halo while in campaign or firefight in Halo 4.

I at the very least want the halo theme back not a new one, i mean your playing as the chief!
Remixes are always a possibility. At least the original theme should be in, that’s one of the things that make it a Halo game. Remixes of some other older songs wouldn’t be bad either: Under Cover of Night, Heretic, Hero or Covenant Dance would be just few of the possibilities.
As we’re already talking about music, something I liked in Halo CE and 2 were the rock tracks such as Rock Anthem for Saving the World and Mjolnir Mix. Those songs just rocked.

I think half should be “remixed” tracks and the other half should be original.
Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Wars, Halo 3: ODST & Halo: Reach did it…

Halo 4 should take A Walk in the Woods. And remix it into even more super awesome on a level that will make brains implode.
I think I speak for everyone that the Halo theme has to come back. Bring some of the old songs back but bring in new ones. I think Halo 4 is gonna have that mysterious, exploration tone to it much like Halo: Combat Evolved.

All of the classics should be re-imagined and a lot of new ones should tag along too. One thing that I missed from Reach and ODST was some of the classics.
Hopefully at least the mjolnir mix will make it in.
I think we’ll be getting the same treatment as the main trilogy got: Mostly revamped versions of old songs, along with a handful of new jingles.
Use a bunch of remixed Halo 2 songs and I’ll be happy.
I think it’s a good time to take a step away from the previous games and do something mainly new that fits what will be happening.
Well the soundtrack for the new trilogy should be completely different, but I agree with you that some skulls should activate the original Halo music. That would be the best easter egg ever!

Not skulls but the OST it self should be like h1.h2.h3 .No more new fake soundtracks like reach

Also, isn’t it a given that they will use the past games music?
They’ve reused songs in most games, why not Halo 4? Just as long as there’s a decent amount of new and old, it’ll be fine.
