Should Halo 4 have a 3D option?

3D has always seemed to be a love it or hate it thing. I think Halo 4 should have it as an option to at least please the people who do love it.

Your thoughts.

The 360 just doesn’t have the hardware capacity to support it.

Yes. I don’t have a 3D TV, but I would love to have the option too. I played this addon for Garry’s Mod on my PC that let you use the old Red and Blue 3D. It was so cool! So, yes, I hope it is an option, because I do plan on buying a 3DTV eventually.

Sure, but I don’t really care. Not too much of a percentage use 3D on video-games.
So 3-D would take a lot more time, work, effort, and money. And I always thought that the Xbox 360 usually has trouble supporting it.

They did it with CEA…I never played with it in 3D, but I heard the controls felt “floaty” because of the extra rendering. But if you don’t want it, turn the option off. I don’t see why not have it.

What we really need is a TV that takes the 3D demonsions from the game and converts it by itself, thus freeing up the game console for better things.

Uhhhmm, no. There was the option in MW2 last time I checked.

Xbox 360 can handle 3D just fine. I think the reason behind their decision is that 3D isn’t mainstream just yet.

I played Black Ops today on my old 2008 360 in 3D.

I’m kinda fuzzy on what implementing 3D into a game actually requires, but I think it requires the game to render everything twice from different angles. A game like Black Ops can do it because it already runs at 60 FPS. Rendering everything twice can be done fairly easily be halving the framerate to 30 FPS, which is still pretty smooth. A game like Halo 4 that runs at 30 FPS would have to make major sacrifices to run it in 3D at 30 FPS. In the end the 3D version just wouldn’t look good.

They could add an option for it, but I doubt they would want to waste time and resources testing 3D for graphical bugs alongside the normal version.

I’d love it to, but Frankie confirmed that Halo 4 will not support kinect or 3d here.

My TV has 2D to 3D conversion on it, not as good as native 3D, but it’ll get me by just fine.

Better be full HD than 3D lol

What FloVex said ^^^^^

I don’t have a 3D TV since I find it kinda…pointless but I’m all for the folks who want it themselves.

Na

That’s really disappointing. The 3D in CEA was fantastic, the most effective 3D I’ve ever seen, and definitely one of the highlights of the experience. Guess we’ll have to wait for Halo 5.

Should Halo 4 have a headache option? Not for me :stuck_out_tongue:

I get headaches from 3D so personally I would never enable it. But it would be cool for people who like 3D. I’m just wondering if they could actually pull it off with a game like this.

I dont think the xbox 360 can support something like that.

> Better be full HD than 3D lol

Impossible. 360 can only support 720p which isn’t full HD.
