should halo 4 be titel as halo 4: Requiem ?

since halo 4 does not have the halo feel but some of the levels do. Soundtrack has the requiem feel of the Forerunners. because that’s also follows the title.

No. It’s a direct sequel to Halo 3.

No, because in my opinion, this game still gives me Halo feels. Just because you aren’t identifying it completely as Halo, doesn’t mean other people share the same view.

and that my friend doesn’t seem follow the title because it takes place on Requiem.

No, it should just be Halo 4 because it is Halo 4 and a direct sequel to Halo 3. Sure it may have a different feel to it, but it still follows the same timeline established by the games and books.

but still

Too bad, it’s Halo 4. Of all the things to complain about that actually matter, a technicality based on your own opinion isn’t one of them.

  1. i am not complaing the about the game i always play the game every time there’s a DLC on its way.
  2. you do not know that this thread is a thought came up to my head.
  3. Read this thread of mine..
  4. im still reading Halo: the Thursday War so don’t spoil it for me.

No. I prefer Halo: Infinity because the multiplayer is actually all just a holographic dream inside the UNSC Infinity’s training program.

It really doesn’t matter, Halo 4 is a direct continuation of Halo 3 and thus is Halo 4.

> It really doesn’t matter, Halo 4 is a direct continuation of Halo 3 and thus is Halo 4.

its too late for that my friend.

The game should be called “Requiem” and thats about it.

There are no Halo’s in the game, none of the game takes place on a Halo, a Halo has nothing to do with the storyline (a composer does) and all in all the game plays nothing like a Halo game. This applies to Reach as well.

All in all we have a game that is shameful to the Legacy Bungie built before Microsoft became greedy.

> It really doesn’t matter, Halo 4 is a direct continuation of Halo 3 and thus is Halo 4.

You best be trolling.

The logic that [X is X, therefore Y has to be Y] is weird. Let’s use Halo: Combat Evolved as an example. They used the title for reasons I don’t feel like explaining, and it worked.

The sequel’s name? Halo 2. Not Halo: Combat Evolved 2. What’s keeping 343i from adding some fancy title to the game?

Either way, I don’t completely disagree with OP. The idea sounds right, plus, this game was like 50% Requiem, 50% Chief/Cortana.

> There are no Halo’s in the game, none of the game takes place on a Halo, a Halo has nothing to do with the storyline (a composer does) and all in all the game plays nothing like a Halo game. This applies to Reach as well.

And sorry to say, but you are wrong. There is a Halo in the campaign’s The Composer level. Also… Halo 3: ODST?

> You best be trolling.

A differing opinion means trolling, ha.

They put in Combat Evolved because Microsoft was worried people would’ve understand what the game was about based on the title.

besides the fact it’s unnecessary?

Installion 03??? The Halo near Ivanoff Station??? If youre being so picky, lets re-name Halo Wars ‘Harvest, Arcadia and Unifdentified Forerunner Shield World’ or Halo 3: ODST ‘Earth’ or ‘New Mombassa’.

No, but constantly repeating the same “opinion” without any reason to do so, other than being right, can.

Of course, yet the same issue could happen with Halo 2, Halo 3 AND Halo 4.

> besides the fact it’s unnecessary?

Nothing is unnecessary, so long as the developers feel right about it.

Microsoft put on the subtitle, not Bungie. By now a subtitle implies that it isn’t part of the main storyline (ODST, Reach). Someone said that it should be called “Requiem” just because there aren’t any Halos. At this point “Halo” is a universe. There were no Halos in Reach, either, and no one complained. It’s part of the universe, so it’s Halo. It picks up where Halo 3 left off, so it’s Halo 4.

> No, but constantly repeating the same “opinion” without any reason to do so, other than being right, can.

When the only argument is a personal opinion there is not much else to say.

> Of course, yet the same issue could happen with Halo 2, Halo 3 AND Halo 4.

Maybe if Halo hadn’t exploded in popularity and everybody and their grandma played it. By Halo 2 it was an established brand.

> Nothing is unnecessary, so long as the developers feel right about it.

Well 343i deemed it unnecessary since they didn’t do it.

Hmm, thats funny, I’m playing a Halo game when I play Halo 4.

I still:

-Have brightly colored super soldiers.
-Have to drop someone’s shields in order to kill them
-See plasma grenades sticking to people and frags being thrown with the ease of one trigger press
-Out BR people like in the good 'ole days.
-Rush the initial weapon spawns before the other team can.
-Have to drive the vehicles the same way, without holding a “button” for the gas.
-Have to use alien weapons and must still learn how fast each weapon can kill.
-Jump high as hell and strafe like crazy unlike games like COD.
-Snipe people the same way I always have in other Halo games.
-Don’t have to worry about bloom (like in Reach or CoD)
-Have to crouch to stay off the radar, to ambush players. Also, I still have a -Yoink- motion sensor thats the best to date.

but yea…nothing like Halo. We must have recieved two different copies…or you just didn’t play Halo much I guess.

Lol…the fanboy responses.

No Flood, no awesome bad guys, cartoon prometheans, laughable cameo characters (uh Palmer is supposed to be as badass as Sgt Avery Johnson?) and the people giving the orders and objectives in SOps… REALLY? Miller sounds like the president of the school comic card club.

This isn’t a Halo game. From the warped and noob multiplayer to the weak Campaign, this thing isn’t up to standards.
