I was watching on Youtube on how to increase your ability to aim better on while play Halo. I saw videos where people were playing H3 and Halo Reach. Well i know practice makes perfect but thats not always true. I think 343i should add a game variant that can provide a practicing structure for players to use to improve their skills. (Not meaning Firefight either) The idea pertained to having the game test your skills first and then copy your ability and transfer that data to a bot. (I know its stupid and more or less impossible right now due to that stage H4 is already at, but again just an idea)
You then start a match and fight against yourself, with that data, you then can save data variants that you can go back to, to improve your ability for the game.
But what do you guys think about it?
The videos i looked up never really explained detailed information no how to improve your skill, it just gave tips, but with no, or better skill how could you imply those tips you know?
that actually sounds very interesting,
just not sure if Halo 4 could even pull it off.
Mass Effect 3’s campaign had a shooting range, and I wouldn’t mind having a Spartan Ops mission that is based and designed around target practice. I would every much enjoy having a sniper’s range.
What does COD have to do with an idea for players to improve their skills? Im not even going to insult a crappy series because i might hurt someone’s feelings.
The idea to me and maybe some other people, actually sounds interesting, and i honestly think if someone wanted to practice to get better, why not fight yourself? Then run out and test your skill after you feel that you can dominate the field.
The ideas are nice, i think, but people will argue though, but its fine. Beside that i think it would introduce something, no other game company has thought of you know?
And yes i know COD had a firing range, whoo, but did the pieces of wood fire back? Did it have a mind of its own? No, so this idea i posted it completely different of that from COD. Im implying that having data stored and creating a structure for players to improve their skills, thus like i stated, having you first be tested to see your skill and then that skill data can be transferred to a bot, with exact thought process and skill as you. I can see it would be hard as hell to perform for a game but its an idea that i think would help out.
> What does COD have to do with an idea for players to improve their skills? Im not even going to insult a crappy series because i might hurt someone’s feelings.
Because a few people think that Halo 4 is copying COD, and using features that COD just so happen to have. >.> So far I’ve yet to see a single feature that is only in COD that only COD has came up with.
It’s really stupid that people believe such BS.

then the other argument those fools come up with is they say “oh well cod popularized them and that’s why 343 is using them” that is not what makes cod popular, its popular for its easy to master gameplay since it doesn’t take much to kill someone in that game. Plus if you talk to the pc community they could pull out several games that made these concepts popular that aren’t cod
I agree strongly to this, because at least there are people who understand that Halo actually TAKES skill in order to kill someone unlike in which if COD you fire and you easily kill someone.
Take this scenario for example.
COD - You jump into a crowd of enemies and maybe get a kill but you wont survive.
Halo - You jump into a crowd of enemies and you HAVE a chance of killing all and coming out alive.
Take note that you only have your AK74 with a claymore, and then you only have your BR with Armor Lock.
Who wins? Halo of course.
Thats why i believe H4 will smash COD into the ground.
cod = aim down sight and hold down trigger = 90% kill chance
halo = consistent shots, map control, power weapon control, etc. =]
Oh and i forgot COD is for campers and no skill based players.
Anyways, back to topic though, but would like 343i to imply this simulator to the game, because i can see it helping bad players become good players.
It would be a great addition simply because it would be used to help the player learn the controls, be sneaky, and learn to aim whenever they come into a BR/DMR fight.
Very nice idea i would personally love to see this although lets face it it wouldn’t be an easy task for 343 and like you said it is highly unlikely that they would be able to make this and put it into Halo 4 by Nov 6th but i would love to see something like this in Halo 5 maybe.
> Oh and i forgot COD is for campers and no skill based players.
Which is part of the reason I put down COD, and never picked it back up, I got tired for finding matches full of campers, and it’d either be just me, or one or two other people running around killing each other, or trying to find the campers and force them do move.

I agree, as I’ve stated before, I wouldn’t mind to have some kind of shooting range, with or with out live targets, I don’t care, as long as there is something I can jump in for a a hour and get back into the groove of playing Halo.
> Oh and i forgot COD is for campers and no skill based players.
Honestly, I think CoD is a great tool to learn about being an Accountant.
On-Topic: I would like to see one like this happening. It can also be something players can do to beat each other’s time.
If they couldn’t, we should come up with one in Forge, and see if we can get them to sticky the download.
> I would every much enjoy having a sniper’s range.
Halo 3 The Pit is how I trained with the sniper. Just set up targets for use, I used cones as my targets head.
OP - I agree. This would be a great idea.
On another note, I would enjoy a general sharpshooting/training course challenge.
> Oh and i forgot COD is for campers and no skill based players.
Yeah, best part would be if they added a perk that would allow you to be invisible, that way the kids could camp more or less the whole game while trying to “snipez cool headshotitez”. Haha, as if anyone would make a game that catered to campers that much ^^

OnT:
It’s a good idea OP, and it could even be expanded so that you could “download” the AI from a good player, and have that transferred to a bot and try to beat him, just like you can download “ghosts” in car games that show you how the pros play.
However, I doubt we will see such smart/advanced AI in Halo 4, however the new xbox 720 is rumoured to have dedicated CPU core(s) just for AI, and hence it could be possible Halo 5 or 6 has a “smart” AI that learns how you play and forces you to think outside the box to win, campaign/spartan ops/firefight/training?
