Should future DLC be like the Champion's B...

Instead of just 3 maps for 800 MSPs/$10 they add a little bit more for your money just like in the Champion’s Bundle.

-Emblems
-Armor
-Armor Skins
-Stances
-Weapon Skins
-Armor mods(debatable because I don’t like the idea of in game items for some and not others through purchase)
-Easy access to a new gametype(Everyone has the gametype but the DLC you just bought has a map specifically built for that gametype)
-Future titles maybe even add armor effects and voice overs like in Reach

Of course you would be able to buy everything separately. The maps by themselves would be 480 MSPs which would be $6 USD. That could be $2 USD for each map. The individual Weapon Skins and Armor Skins Pack can range from 8 MSPs($1 USD) to 240 MSPs($3 USD).

But of course it might end up being cheaper to buy the bundle and get even more out of it. It could add more incentive to buy the DLC.

Yes since it would not only help it sell with stuff other than just maps, it would also flood the game with more content in general and more people would buy it as well.

I only would use the maps, so I don’t care as long as they just offer those for sale. No offense, but the emblems, weapon skins, etc. just don’t interest me enough to buy them.

Offer it separately like what they’re doing with the maps in the champion bundle.

Yes, would add more content and keeps the game flowing. But hope it wouldn’t effect the price to be more then 800 points :frowning:

That’s why I said they could do what they do now. Either by the maps by themselves or buy a bundle.

Yeah, I’d love if future DLC packs added more than just new maps. I’m really looking forward to the Champions bundle and I think if you gave people more than just maps it’d convince more people to purchase the map packs, thus DLC playlist population would increase.

I just wish the DLC I bought in general would friggin show up in MM. As of right now, I not really excited about getting new DLC since I probably will never be able to play it.

The same problem existed in Reach. I always wanted to play the map Highlands with 16 players and it never happened because it never was a voting option, ever.

Just make sure that the extra content is stuff that was made post-launch. I don’t want 343 to not include something, just to release it as DLC.

I agree with the OP, but not on the idea of being able to buy separate content from packed bundles. DLC done the “right way” IMO is having new gameplay things with some minor kickbacks as a little bonus for throwing away that money you could have used for alcohol, the same idea for Pre-Order Bonuses with games these days. That doesn’t mean I don’t like the idea of cosmetics, I just don’t think they should be sold by themselves.

From Biotic Khajiit:

Once again, you DON’T use cosmetic -Yoink- to sell DLC, because DLC has to be able to stand up on it’s own in terms of gameplay value. The last thing a game needs is to go the GOW3 or CODBlOps2 route and start giving cosmetics at a dollar a pop. I wouldn’t put flame decals and Smileys all over a Lamborghini Murcielago, so why add garbage of no real value on it’s own to a game?
