Firefight has always been a big part of Halo since it was added in Reach(Originally started in ODST). It was introduced as its own gamemode inside of Reach and was allowed to be played offline, so I was a bit confused as to why it wasn’t in Halo 5. Firefight has been a community favorite for a very long time, it was requested in Halo 4 and asked to be brought back in Halo 5, so why did we get Warzone Firefight? I understand that 343 was trying to implement the Req system into Firefight, which is perfectly fine, but with the Req system being added it would fall under a Warzone category. It would lose most of its offline playability, and have to played online. The community would no longer be able to customize Firefight’s gamemodes or possibly even maps, 343 would be left to decide what they want to add. With Warzone being plugged into the Firefight name, it no longer feels like Firefight, but rather a different gamemode of Warzone. Why should the Reqs be so heavily influenced? Why is there such a small time limit to kill enemies? Especially when we have 3 Warden Eternals and like infinite amount of knights and MLG Sniper Soldiers guarding them. The respawn timer is ridiculous, why should I get a 10 second respawn timer on Round 1? Or like a 30 Second timer on round 2? How do you expect us to run across the map after being spawned a mile away from where we’re supposed to go, and on top of that with just 1 minute left? Firefight should not have any of these ridiculous things inside of them, and should not be called Warzone Firefight, I just want to relax and play casually, while getting away from all the other MLG gametypes. When I headed to Firefight the first time I played it, I expected to be reminded of the times where I could play offline and just have a blast. Not being reminded of more chaos and havoc then a Warzone game.
People asked for a PvE mode, not Firefight. It is called Warzone Firefight simply for a lack of a better name.

Aye, I see your point, they couldn’t really call it anything else either. Makes sense.
A dedicated Firefight lobby with adjustable settings, private match choices, and no reliance on the microtransaction system would be a welcome sight at least in Halo 6. I doubt it would happen in Halo 5 because $$$$$,
You do not have to buy Microtransactions, or make a big deal out of it. But the one question I have is, are you asking for an “offline” firefight? Where you alone could do it? Or something else?
Paragraphs are your friend, mate. Why betray them?

ODST and Reach firefight were their own separate gamemodes, and so was Spartan Ops in 4. ‘Firefight’ in Halo 5 is shoved into the Warzone playlist, voiding it of any customization, private matches, and making success almost entirely on calling in REQs instead of enemy knowledge.
Returning Firefight to its own section of the game would(hopefully) allow for solo play and private matches to return to the gametype, along with customization for hardcore or casual play and freeing it from “Call in X number of tanks to achieve enough DPS for victory!”

Read my earlier comment. They never wanted to bring back Firefight and never did. People were asking for a PvE mode. They made one. It is called Firefight because there was no better name. What else were they supposed to call it?
NEW TO HALO 5!
“Warzone it’s a PvE mode not an attempt to 343ify it you dumb -Yoinks!-”
To be factual, Firefight was brought into play during the days of Halo 3: ODST. Firefight was later brought more into a multiplayer functionality in Reach where as in Halo 5 it is only multiplayer. Firefight has however always been a multiplayer based game mode and I think its a wise choice that it stays that way. Sometime about firefight makes teamwork fit into its definition. I see what you mean though, you’d want a single player based game mode. Except with the Xbox one everything is done online now even offline stats are saved… online. Not to mention Microsoft has downed the whole split screen era as of late in Halo, so there is no real point in playing offline with a local friend let alone single player.
I think they should add a unlimited rounds firefight game mode. One that doesn’t end until all players have died and lost all of their lives. Say 3 lives instead of the 7 or 8 you’d begin with back in the less recent games since there would be more players.

Thousands of threads were made to bring back … Fire fight. Others asked for PVE, so get off your high horse and just shut up. What else could they have called it… I don’t know, come up with a new name like they should have for H5. Since they want to completely re event the game, change the name as well. It’s not firefight, it’s not a evolved firefight, it’s a new gamemode. They used the name so they would stopped getting -Yoinked!- at to add it to the damn game already. 343, the liars that will change everything you know to make a buck then tell you more lies to keep you playing the crap they -Yoink- out.

Warzone Ops? Warzone Operations? Something besides ‘Firefight’ which it barely resembles?
I didn’t ask for a competitive hardcore Legendary+ PvE gamemode, I was hoping for a casual more laid-back PvE mode that would contribute to the damn mandatory microtransaction grind.
