I know there are many that love stumbling on a fight that’s already taking place and snagging both kills but honestly that is the only benefit I see of cramming 6 people into FFA maps. Some would make the argument that normal slayer 8 players on the map at a time. Normal slayer is more linear, since you’ve usually got a teammate on your 6 and/or left/right. I struggle with 6 people on these maps, I can’t even fathom how I tolerated when FFA was 8 players. There are people that will claim FFA is supposed to be a mosh pit of action, with blood and death everywhere, but why? Why does it have to be that way? Why can we not make it 5 players per game, and let people breathe a little? I’m ranked Onyx 1541, with a 3.0 KDA and 19% win rate. I would consider myself slightly above average, I usually feel like a straight turd most of the time. Odds are, most fights you get into you’ll be weakened, and often you’ll be one shot. With the terribly long shield recharge time, in addition to the fact that you’ll need to sprint to cover, odds are you’ll be one shot for a decent amount of time. SO many times I’ve been ruined by a random grenade or someone who stumbled upon me while waiting to recharge my shields. Or I won an fight with an enemy, and am trying to evade being picked off by another when I run face first into someone who’s full shields and ready to roll. I’ve tried to change the way I play too. I use different strategies, and methods of traversing the map, sometimes i’m selective of who I engage, but so many of my deaths still seem to be getting picked off while one shot. And sure it goes both ways too, I’ve gotten many kills for the very same reason. I’ve been in games where a player drops out, or even two players drop out, and I have such a more enjoyable time. You’re able to play more tactically. Engagements turn into fights of skill, not fights of “who can find the two dueling to get two quick headshots first” Does this bother anyone else or is it just me? Has anyone else played games where a player drops, and did you find yourself enjoying it more/less/or no difference at all?
No because every FFA game ends up with 4 or less players at the end anyways -.-
Well if that’s the case, why not go ahead and start them out that way? Obviously 343 doesn’t want people to quit games or they wouldn’t have gone nuts with banhammer, so why not spare people the trouble?
