Ok guys. Am I the only person who thinks Elites (and their unique game modes like Invasion and Elite Slayer) should make a comeback? I mean, this “Anvil Initiative” that’s been mentioned by 343i could be hinting towards this, but I really hope they make a return in Halo 5.
Yeah, but I’m someone who also thinks brutes and jackals should already be playable

Best idea!
Not in competitive multi or SWAT or snipers.
I think 343 might be hinting at their return. Halo escalation shows Palmer playing invasion, The arbiter has been shown off a lot and now theres this thing about the anvil initiative… just say’in.
They really should make a come back it adds diversity to the game and really makes it more interesting, I don’t think they should have made the multiplayer canonical because it seems like it will just make boundaries on what they can do with it, besides I always enjoyed making up my own stories for why the Spartans were all battling

Um… Yes, they should be in this as well. Otherwise = no buy.
No 343 is a shinoch for not bringing em back

Ah yes, let’s just let the blatantly different hit boxes throw off the game.

In Halo 2/2A, they were the exact same as the spartans. Even in Reach they were the same, but 20% larger, it was only in 3 did Bungie decide to mess with em. Again, there is absolutely no reason not to have unrestricted sangheili playability.

I am also that someone.
I don’t really see the downside to it. But since its a “spartan training program” I don’t see how they will incorporate it without some diplomatic changes.
This is why I hate having multiplayer “canon”. It creates a lot of unnecessary crap and hoops to jump.

Hey, I got that! RVB, RWBY and Halo for life.
They should come back. Had possibly have a separate ranking system than spartans (just the names of the ranks, instead of Private>Warrant Officer>etc… they should have Grunt cannon fodder>…elite minor…>field marshal>…> Arbiter)
Edit: I also don’t see what’s wrong with different hit boxes/sizes etc… for spartans and Elites. It should be that way, and if you play as one or the other, you gotta accept the consequences of having a bigger head to shoot.
Eh, if they bring Invasion back, then yes. Otherwise, no.

Elaborate please.

I do agree with this. I loved having the ability to be an Elite in Multiplayer, and Johnson’s line in 3-4 player Campaign co-op at the beginning is hilarious.
“…and as for you. Don’t try and blow up my planet.”

There are still diferent hitboxes and places to hit, and in top of that they are only played by a minority. Stick then only in social playlists.
But elites are so stupid. The way they walk and wort just irritates me. I will never trust anyone on my team if they are an elite. Not to mention they probably won’t be as customizable as the spartans and they were much easier to get that headshot in on Reach.
And I’ll be laughing at how ridiculous the elites look when sprinting and dashing with their thrusters. They’ll look so stupid! and when the match ends the elites will give each-other high ‘fours’! Muahaha!
No.
Keep the elites out of my multi-player experience. please!

I just said that the hitboxes were the exact same in H2A, what did you read in my post that said otherwise? In only Halo 3, was there the hole in the neck and the protuding head, but the rest of the games have the EXACT SAME hitboxes. And only a minority has played as them in Reach/3 due to their limitations, I’ve seen a very healthy population of sangheili players in 2/2A, enough so to warrant unrestricted playability in Halo 5.
