Should you be able to be a elite in H5? I personally think yes and I would like to customize them sort of like halo reach.
Yeah but the way reach did it, single race gametypes and an invasion style asymmetric gameplay playlist.
It will only be acceptable if they have female sparatans and female elites as well as male spartans and male elites so that no one is alienated from their preferred gender and or humanism or non-humanism
The only reason 343 should add them is so people don’t get pissed off.
Make elites DLC in which you must pay for,

that was a joke
I only ever really enjoyed them in Reach’s invasion.
If they were a regular fixture in multiplayer, then they’d have to be of equal size and abilities as the Spartans. Honestly, I prefer them not appear at all unless in Invasion.
Yes, why not? I never played as an elite besides Invasion from Reach but I don’t see the problem with them being in Halo 5, its better if they are in it, less people will complain.
To summarise the old arguments:
*If Elites are going to be in properly competitive gamemodes, they need to have the same hitboxes as Spartans.
*If they do have the same hitbox, then the player model has to be adapted so the Elites are shorter than they canonically are.
*It also means that there may be glitches, such as being able to shoot through parts of their bodies due to the hitboxes not matching up.
*These are irritating, especially since MP is canon now, and I love that.
Thus, I’d keep Elites in social gametypes, or species-vs-species ones, whilst keeping their own hitboxes and real heights. In Ranked, people would be sorted into race-specific games as not to make it unfair.
> It will only be acceptable if they have female sparatans and female elites as well as male spartans and male elites so that no one is alienated from their preferred gender and or humanism or non-humanism
I’m all for being inclusive, but elites are a patriarchal civilization, there are no confirmed female soldiers. I’d rather they not rewrite established canon, and make models that only .01% of the fanbase are going to use, for the sake being inclusive.
Not saying, just saying.

Elites should be kept exactly as they are in the multiplayer as they are in the campaign. As you said, species vs species would ensure balance, but also we could have round based games where we switch species each round.
And of course, that would open us up to having more playable species like Brutes, Jackals, Grunts, etc. Then all the machinima creators would be happy too.
As for explaining it canonically, they could just be simulated holograms for Spartans to train against. I mean, we’ve already played as the Flood in War games, so if that’s viable, why not Elites?
Only if they combine invasion and Firefight Versus into one thing.
Absolutely, and they should go back to having them fully customisable as they did in Halo 3.
> *These are irritating, especially since MP is canon now, and I love that.
That has no bearing on anything. The MP canon is that it’s a simulation, a simulation that includes things like Grifball and holographic skulls. It makes more sense that they’d have simulations involving the other species, especially the Elites, who they have fought both with and against and will likely do both in the future.

Raia 'Mdama (Jul’s deceased wife mentioned in Halo: Glasslands, The Thursday War, and Mortal Dictata) fought in the rebellion against the Arbiter.
The point is that these are trying times for the Sangheili and that some of their old ways are being phased out out of necessity.
I don’t think most people care…at all. Any vote on the matter is biased because it’ll be a majority of people who care about the issue which even vote on it. Especially here on the Halo forums.
So no I don’t think it’s worth the time for 343i.
they need to be in mp

That caring goes both ways. When a group of people are in love with an idea they’ll get involved. When a group of people are vehemently against an idea they’ll get involved. If they don’t care enough to get involved they probably won’t mind either way.
Sangheili should most definitley return in ther ORIGINAL canoncial form of 7 feet and be in ALL playlists with utterly NO exclusion.

Yes but she wasn’t really a warrior. Her whole story was pretty much her being exposed to the male sangheili’s world…then dieing.
She knows how to use a plasma pistol, but she wasn’t going to fight a spartan anytime soon.

Did she actually participate in more than one battle? Because technically speaking female suicide bombers “fought” and killed Americans, doesn’t make them soldiers.
I’m not against the idea in principle but it has to sound plausible, and given how conservative the elites are, I don’t see that changing in only four years.
But hey who knows.
It would make sense for female elites to be soldiers to swell their ranks now that they’re so scattered. “tradition” often gives way under the pressure to survive.
The Halo universe is in a period of tumultuous change. and female elites in combat roles is an interesting way to show that.
(not to mention we need to see a more equal distribution of human female marines. it’s been 500 years, it shouldn’t be something people think twice about any more.)
Yep.
No reason to expand, just yes.
