Do you think Cortana should die? Personally I feel she should because It could really drive the story. Johnson’s death had the potential to drive the story but, occurred to late in the game to have any significant impact. And if you said she should die, how, in what fashion? i always thought it would be interesting for john to have to kill Cortana.
No, I think at the end of Halo 4 she should become like Durandal. You know, self aware but not rampant.
I actually do think something like her getting deactivated will happen.
She should die in the first mission.
Cortana and Chief land on Requiem. Instant cutscene with Cortana being dramatic and permanently fading away.

I think they should both die at the end of Halo 6 at the same time.
You should be stranded on another halo or requiem…you initiate a explosion sequence because Cortanas rampancy deceived you into doing it…by the time you find out Cortana fights away her rampancy and does some epic -Yoink- to stop the splosion and deactivate/kill a bunch of enemies that over ran you…after that happens chief and Cortana have one last (emotional) convo as chief realizes there’s nothin he can do…he just watches as Cortana fizzles away into nothingness
Whichever way you look at it, Cortana needs to die. I don’t care how or when it happens. It just needs to happen or that seven year/rampant thing is basically void.
I think Master Chief should sort of do a mercy killing (forgive my poor wording) of Cortana.

This is how I would want her to die if the MC doesn’t kill her.
Not in Halo 4, but in Halo 5/6, I think she should pull a Dom and kill herself to save John.
what if they kinda did a reset on here cuz the only reason she and other
AI “die” is cuz of to much information to process and shes bound to have 100x that info so transport all her date to safe place such as indexing it in to new armor for John for her to have access to only my manual pulling.
OR
reset her and move the information under ONI protection and give her back to John and they rediscover each other learn about each other again make new memories for halo 5 and 6. that would have a been emotional aspect to his human side
Her rampancy should be cliffhanger’d at the end of Halo 4, and then she dies mid-way into Halo 5.
And then Chief dies either at the end of Halo 5 or like 3rd to last mission of Halo 6.
She won’t die in Halo 4, but I’m she will in future games.

It would be interesting if Cortana was somehow corrupted by the ancient evil and is forced to aid it. Somewhat similar to what happened with Medicant Bias.
