Should Clan lists make a return?

Not sure why the word “clan” has a negative connotation. Having clan lists made it very easy to keep communities and groups organized. You could add them all to your friends lists, but more often than not, its nicer to have a fast way of accessing clan members only.

peon, member, staff, and overlord were a pretty decent way of keeping the community structured. Most importantly it was easy to spam out messages and invites to clan members only.

Right now the only way to keep a big group connected is to have separate silver gamer-tags that are friends with the members.

I’d have to agree with you on this…I really want to find a clan which suits my style(customs), but obviously, it will take a long time…

Building on the Halo 2 clan system that existed would be pretty cool

Yes. I’ve been wanting this for years. Halo 2 system was cool.

They should definitely bring back some sort of Clan system. I don’t know why it was removed but it brings friends and gamers together and makes everything seem much more important when playing online.

You’re not just playing to win, you’re playing for your reputation.

Clans should yes. A competitive clan playlist sounds desirable.

A list? Sure. Why not? A playlist revolving on clans? No. That idea imploded on itself in Halo 2 with higher level clans resetting their trueskill rank in that playlist and drove off the lower leveled ones for the regular ranked variants.

If we’re going to have a clan matches, it needs to be handled differently. Maybe a cumulative rank of the group involved pairing them up, and just give something shiny to show off as long as they stay in that clan?

Yes.

Very much yes.

Without a doubt yes!

Oddly enough alot of my Halo 2 clan started dying off after Halo 2. Clans were a huge part of what kept us coming back everyday.

This was in halo 2, and it was so pose to be in halo 4. I’d love for it to return.

Absolutely, they should. I mean, it’s a pretty simple feature to add in, and has no negative effect, only positive. Why would you NOT add this?

I would really like to see them use the clan system as a way of doing more things like the global championship. Maybe the top owever many ranked clans at the end of the seasons get to go to the live finals. That could be pretty cool. I thought I remember that they thought of bringing clans back for h3, but microsoft was planning to implement a universal Xbox clan system, so they were just going to wait for that. Idk why that never happened.

I will give this a thumbs up. I liked the old Halo 2 clan system. Wouldn’t mind it or something to its effect returning in Halo 5.

Yes!

My sorry -Yoink- clan will ride again

I would really like clans to make an entrance in Halo on Xbox One. In fact, I would like them integrated into Waypoint, with their own forums and announcements (Bungie’s group model), and possibly even the ability to create a custom clan matchmaking playlist for larger clans (i.e., MLG creating an MLG clan on Waypoint, and creating a playlist with MLG gametypes and maps, with specific settings such as voting patterns, an included 1-50 ranking system that doesn’t affect anything type of global ranking system, and player party requirements, both maximum and minimum so that specific MLG teams could face each other).

A clan system would help my clan a lot so I approve.

You just can’t escape the idea that the people who refer to themselves as being in a clan are a bunch of fat guys, sitting on a beanbag naked eating Cheetos.

But yeah clan lists should return.
