I feel like we’ve been playing on the same BTB maps for a half year. The maps are excellent, but they do get stale without refreshing the selection. I hope we get a new rotation soon! What do you think?
I’m not big on BTB, but the gamemode could really benefit from some new maps. Same thing for Infection.
Well since it’s just Forge maps…I guess a new set of maps might be nice since 343i aren’t really making the maps but I do hope future Halo games goes back to AAA quality maps since after a while most of the forge maps just end just up looking too similar.
Btb was one of my favourite modes on the older halos, but I can’t even get into them with the forge maps. Don’t get me wrong forge is okay and has it place, but main game types and playlists couldn’t really include forge maps in my opinion. Obviously there is a exception for things like griffball and infection, or throw back maps form classic games.
The entire game needs a refresh, but I’d be in favor of a BTB refresh.

i think they should just take all the maps that were in previous rotation and put them all back in. Imagine the variety that we would have. It would put the map count at like 20 plus maps. granted some aren’t that great but it would awesome cause a lot of the older maps i miss playing on and a lot of them were good maps.
I’m all down for a BTB refresh. It’s getting stale playing the same maps over and over again. A lot of the maps currently in BTB lacks -Yoink!- vehicle action which the new maps needs to cover on if they are on the works.
Everything could use a refresh but its far more likely they a focused on making Halo 6. I would wager that with E3 coming up next month that they have to tease something at this point because the player base will have no doubt start shrinking even more.
I think BTB needs more developer-made maps. Sure, Forge maps are cool and all, but some high quality developer maps would make it just that much better.
Should they? Yes.
Will they? Probably not.
I would be totally up for a BTB refresh, and I would already know what maps I would want in the rotation! Lets cross our fingers. Never say never!
BTB is my favorite playlist, but it absolutely needs a refresh. Edit: based on a rudimentary experiment below, I would say the maps just need to be spread more evenly
I counted my last 50 btb maps and found the results interesting. I played Risen, Recurve, Eagle square, and Scavenger 6 times. I got Viking and dispelled 5 times. Echoes was 4. Deadlock was 3. Boulevard, entombed and fracture were 2. I got traffic jam, guillotine, and altar 1 time each in the last 50 games.
Btb needs to add more maps and not remove existing maps there’s a lot of good forge maps out there . I have no problem with forge maps if they’re good. Developers maps are basically forge maps so no reason to complain
Yes please. BTB was my favourite playlist until they ruined the BR, but still it’d be nice to have some more community forge maps. I think they should have a small team dedicated to updating the game with community forge maps across the board.
It would be nice to remove Altar, Dispelled, and Port Authority from the rotation. And if not removing them from the playlist, don’t put slayer as a gametype. Even if they bring in previously used maps in BTB like Antifreeze, Basin, Estuary, etc. a refresh would be great.

This suggestion would not improve the BTB playlist at all. Altar, Dispelled and Port Authority are some of the best and most unique maps in the playlist and those other maps were removed for a reason.

Basin maybe, but I’d be a solid no for those other two maps. Estuary would be a maybe if they removed the Banshees.
