> Obviously. I’m stating that basic training could really serve no other purpose than to maybe make you feel good. Have your first game of Basic training and go 25-0 and you’ll be happy. Boost your spirits. That’s what I’ve seen it as. Maybe others see it differently.
It would serve that purpose to good Halo players, but such players shouldn’t be using that playlist in the first place. The “purpose” is for people unfamiliar with the game to play with others at a similar level of skill (or lack thereof); going into the playlist to go 25-0 to boost your spirits against scrub players seems a bit…cheap
It would be great to give the “new players” ;D somewhere to go outside of the normal MM so that they learn how to play, especially since it seems many new people will be coming in. It would also be great with the whole custom loadouts thing so you’re not matched up with guys who have like everything.
Id like to see it return and maybe make it optional for up to 15, 20 games if youve been absent from the game for 4 or 5 months. So you dont get destroyed your first few games back.
Oh yes, basic training is a must. To help players get acquainted with the ins and outs of Halo 4’s MP features. Features that i might add, are relativity new and depending on who you ask, total garbage/2nd coming of Raptor Jesus.
They didnt have it in reach, they left a lot of things out of reach. But I would like to see it resurface in Halo 4 a long with a few other things. Like rank. Just saying.
I think it would be cool if they reconfigured it slightly so that it can still teach new players how to play the game, but also allow more experienced players to enter to test something new they unlocked without having to risk their stats.
Obviously trueskill should be tighter in this playlist as well.
They should have a basic training that uses bots, and make the bots so that you can adjust the difficulty. You can have setting like, beginner, normal, competitive, and MLG Pro. That way even those without xbox live can get pretty good at the multiplayer.
You don’t get better at the game by playing against bad players in Basic Training, all it allowed players to do was make second accounts and get an amazing KD and five free wins when they start.
If people want to learn, they can hop into ranked with other low levels and learn from that.
More maps and basi gametypes (Slayer, Oddball, Regicide).
People who enter to “kill noobz” are forbidden. 343i should make, like, something that tells you that people who have played more than 10 MM matches and they enter this playlist are forbidden.
This game will (like every other Halo before it) have a campaign. THIS is what everyone should play first off. Then (as a maximum) give (like in H3) 5, and only these 5 matches to play basic training in. After that: never again. So there won´t be some “Noob-Pwners”. If someone wants to get into matchmaking again after, say 5 months, then play a session of the campaign again. If that still doesn´t help, play another one and hopp into matchmaking again ^^
But I think a max of 5 games should be ok…
