Should Achievements from 360 Carry Over to the 1?

Hello Halo community as the title of this post says I am interested in knowing how you feel about achievements carrying over from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One. Have you thought about it, are you upset that this is not all ready implemented, or do you just simply enjoy getting the achievements again. My personal opinion is that yes I would like to see this implemented for several reasons. As we all know Halo has been around for several years and some of the Halo vets are now in their 20’s 30’s even 40’s and our lives have changed since we first played Halo. Some gamer’s have other commitments and cant dedicate as much time to playing as we once could. With that being said some may find it very difficult to find time to unlock the 4000 plus gamerscore that the Master Chief Collection has to offer. While some of the achievements are new a large majority of them are not and some of the community may have all ready obtained these on the Xbox 360. For example the Annual achievement once called Vidmaster Challenge Annual from Halo 3 which requires you to Complete Halo on 4-player Legendary co-op with Iron Skull, and everyone in ghosts. This can easily be labeled as one of the most challenging achievements that Halo has to offer and some may not even attempt it, but some have all ready obtained it on the 360 and may not feel like getting it again due to said difficulty or lack of time. However it would be nice to see your hard work rewarded by having it carry over from the Xbox 360 and thus be rewarded with 10 gamerscore as opposed to its prior value of 0. While this is just one simple example I think it clearly shows how this would be a benefit to the Halo community. Several games and developers today have all ready implemented this idea and it makes sense because many would not like to re-earn the achievements they previously unlocked. As fun and addicting as Halo is the desire, time, and effort may not be there as it once was when you were younger or when you first unlocked it. I am unsure if this idea would have any technical issues but if it were possible I think gamer’s should be able to have this option available to them. As this is just a thought and matter of opinion I would however enjoy hearing what you have to say about it. To be clear this is my most beloved gaming series of all time and am in no way putting down 343 and Halo in any way but I do feel as if this would be a nice feature. Feel free to comment as I look forward to reading them, and hopefully gaming with some of you on this wonderful reincarnation of the Halo series.

First give China their wall back (I.E learn to use paragraphs please)

But no they shouldnt as this is meant to be a fresh start, besides people would of completed almost everything by now. It removes the challenge and fun of earning them again.

Yes, but in a different way all together like “Xbox 360 achievements” similar to if you’re playing 360 looking at Xbox One achievements.

I’m fine without them carrying over, honestly. I’ve never been big on the achievement system, and Halo 3 was the only game I ever bothered perfecting.

Lol you know a paragraph cant be limited to 6-8 sentneces… What if people do not want to go back and get them since it was fun the first time but maybe not the second time.

NO, I need some way to make my halo scores look bigger, that means more chieves. MOAR

A paragraph can be that short. Your not meant to be writing really formally and those sentences are really long, the text is literally a giant block and paragraphing it would be more helpful as it is as long as like 10 average sentences.

Anyway to your point. They dont have to earn them again and why should they be given it? What about the people who do want to earn them again? Isnt the whole point of an achievement to show that youve persisted with a task to complete it? It shows who is bothered to do it again.

I don’t want achievements to carry over. What I wish carried over was my Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 3 ODST and Halo Reach stats and accomplishments. Its all tied to Waypoint so why not log into your account and have it refresh showing you completed this on Legendary, found skulls, ect. Instead of wiping everything

(in arbiter voice) No.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about. My achievements carried over. Or, at least I think they did? When I first signed into my Xbox One, it showed me as having 14000 gamerscore. If you’re talking about the achievements from the MC collection that are the same as the original games, no, they shouldn’t automatically be unlocked for you because the Master Chief Collection is a very different experience compared to the original games. 60fps alone changes a lot. Halo 3 has slightly different physics in places. I got all the achievements for Halo 3 and 4 on the 360, now I’m getting all the achievements for the Master Chief Collection. MCC and Halo 3 are two different games, in my opinion :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Achievemos just make me feel good bout no lifing somethin and the gamerscore doesnt do anything either.

No, i want to achieve them again.

You already have the GS! What more could you want?! Sheesh.

I personally like that the achievements can be earned again, gives me an additional reason on top of the other reasons to play it even more

Why not let it carry over? I get the fact that its suppost to be a fresh start but some of us (people with families, kids, lives etc) trying to go through and re-do all those things we have already done just seems mutinous.

How is that mutinous? All of these past Halo games were made years ago, so it’s not as if you have JUST got all of the achievements and have to do it ALL over again.

This is years later. New console, new engine, new achievements. Having past achievements carry over completely gets rid of the fun and experience.

No - let it be a fresh start and re-earn the achievements again. Have fun playing the game!

No, if my Halo 2 Vista achievement don’t carry over then the rest of y’alls 360 achievement shouldn’t either. :stuck_out_tongue:
