The Halo 2 reveal trailer was shown in theaters.
I don’t know about you but if I had seen the Halo 3 or Halo 4 reveals before watching some movie I would have flipped.
Think about it, people go to see Prometheus (or Dark Knight Rises) and they get an unexpected surprise: a new Halo 4 trailer.
This would be the best way to view a new trailer, not on some small computer screen or HD TV.
Why should I have to go see a movie to see a Halo 4 trailer?
Unless it’s not a theater-only exclusive.
I don’t care how we get the trailer, I just want to get it somehow. I will let 343i’s imagination surprise me.

It can be revealed in theaters first and then released online a couple days later. That’s usually how most movie trailers work.
Release it with The Avengers.
-Yoink-. YES.
And of course have Machinima release it online 2 days later.

Agreed! If it is released with The Avengers I would be one of the first. I’m going to go see it at midnight. And I live on the east coast. >:D

Why Machinima? Why not 343?
It would make sense to release it with a hyped film like the Avengers. The trailer needs to be good.
In fact, why not just rerun the reveal trailer with the Avengers.?

I agree. Any new trailer needs to be on Halo Waypoint’s youtube before Machinima.
As long as it’s not theater-exclusive that’s fine, I don’t really care. I’m going to see Act of Valor when it comes out so that would be a pleasant surprise.
No, I’m not paying to see a commercial.
Weren’t you the guy who suggested we buy Dead of Alive 5 at $60 for Hayabusa armor in Halo 4? Now you want us to pay $14 to see a commercial for Halo4 that should be on this site from the beginning?
Not everyone has disposable income dude.

They should release it with The Dark Knight Rises in my opinion!
> No, I’m not paying to see a commercial.
No… You’d be paying to see the movie, obviously… Nobody in their right mind pays to see a movie just for a trailer…
Anyway, I think it would be a wonderful idea to have the trailer play before a movie in theaters, since we know that millions of people will see it.

Eh, either way really.
I would crap myself if I saw a Halo 4 trailer in theaters. So I say no to save myself of embarrassment but a definite YES to the sheer amount of awesomeness it will grant me.
> No, I’m not paying to see a commercial.
Lol, that doesn’t make any sense. You pay to see the movie you want to watch. Previews are an added bonus.

EXACTLY!
Just showing showing the reveal trailer during the Avengers would be great. The only people that would hate it would be the CoD fanboys.
E3 is from June 5-7. Any new trailer revealed then could be shown during the Dark Knight Rises which comes out July 20. Hell, a trailer should be shown with Prometheus. Since Prometheus is a prequel to the Alien franchise and that franchise has had a lot of influence on Halo, it would make sense.
Let it be aired on the Superbowl finals Halftime Show! DO IT!
They should show a trailer in theaters, but not exclusively to theaters

I don’t want to watch a movie, ALL I want is to see the trailer, and if the only way to see it is paying for both the movie and trailer I’m not buying.
