So if you’re all familiar with Halo Legends, you’ll know that it was an anthology of anime episodes set within the Halo universe. Would anyone like to see a sequel series to that? If so, what kind of narratives and settings would you like to see in its episodes? I just wanted to know because I remember the series receiving a mixed reception from Halo fans upon its initial release.
I would. That said, I would like Genndy Tartakovsky to be involved if it is possible. It would be amazing to see what the man behind Samurai Jack and Sym Bionic Titan can do with Spartans. He may not be an anime guy, but still.
if it is going to be like the first one, then i think they shouldn’t do it. The only videos that i enjoyed where origins part 1 and 2. All other videos look really good but they don’t make any contribution to the franchise. Were just unnecessary spin-offs
Unfortunately i see that 343 likes to play around with little spartans made out of nowhere. Just my personal thoughts, because i enjoy more everything that has something to do with forerunners, HALO and that stuff
I dont dislike the thing, but hate when the companies come out with fancy spin-offs because you know that they are just trying to make $$$ out of the franchise, and Bungie was driving the Halo Universe in that direction.

The Prototype: Was a tie-in to a short story for Halo: Evolutions called Midnight on the Heart of Midlothian and expanded on the weapons systems being developed to fight the Covenant.
The Babysitter: Showed more of the relationship between the Spartans and ODSTs while also apparently showing us Ancient Human ruins from the same civilization mentioned in the Forerunner Saga.
The Duel: Explains how the title of Arbiter became known as one meant for shamed Elites and gave us an insight of Elite society on Sanghelios under the Covenant.
Homecoming: Gave us an unseen look at the Spartan-II Program from the view of a Spartan who tried to escape and came to learn the full grasp of the project.
The Package: Ties in with a mention from Ghosts of Onyx and the reprint of The Fall of Reach about the Battle of Miridem where Dr. Halsey was captured. This deals with the aftermath and how she was recovered.
So that highlighted statement of yours is demonstrably untrue.
I wouldn’t mind it. I’d like something more focused though, an actual single full length movie, much like Mass Effect’s: Paragon Lost.
Yeah I’d love another.
Another Evolutions too.
I would love to see some animated shorts done like the Cinematics shown in Halo 4. Those would just be absolutely outstanding. I mean the Intro, Ending and Spartan Ops are all just so amazing to watch that a Blu-ray made of up these types of shorts exploring different aspects of the universe would be an instant buy.
and break cannon again? i dont think so
> and break cannon again? i dont think so
Other than appearances, which is just different artistic views and doesn’t change anything, there is not much canon breaking. The only episode that did so was “Odd One Out”, which has been said not to be canon.
I personally would love a sequel, but I think that whoever makes it should be more knowledgeable of the Halo lore than those who created the original seem to be. Halo Legends added a number of interesting things to the universe, such as the Booster Frame and Prototype Suit.
I would love another Halo: Legends…
As long as 343 doesn’t sign away COMPLETE artistic freedom. My god, I could not stand the visuals of most of those shorts. Halo is Halo, and Halo should LOOK like Halo. lol.
I don’t mind some creative freedom, but they should at least maintain certain principles (such as the fact that Covies have purple and blue blood… not green…).
I’d love another one. I liked how it expanded on the universe. Though if they do, for the love of god leave episodes like “Odd One Out” out of it. It was funny the first time, after that is just a nuisance to have to skip it to go to the next episode.
Only episodes that filled in lore questions and made Halo history make more sense in some things. I would expect to see a part about the Didact changing after his childrens’ deaths and meeting Bornstellar and the Primordial. As well as one about the SIV program, but I don’t want to see any crap like “Odd One Out”.

This, and also, I’d love to see more stories from the Covenant’s point of view as well.
Yes, i loved pretty much all of them. I havent seen it in a while so i cant fully remember all.
And Odd One Out was the best, that should be canon. What’s wrong with a slightly defective Spartan? And we always wanted to know what would happened if Spartan had kids.

I really hope this is sarcasm.
I just wish they would NOT make more Spartan-II’s out of nowhere, and the numbers of the ones that made it through just seems out of whack when I count it.
And Ralph-303? Really?! Originally, there was a maximum of 300 Spartan-II candidates, but the budget was cut in half to 150, and then cut in half again to 75. Only 33 made it out according to the Fall of Reach. But since when did the Spartan-II’s have their Spartan Numbers beyond 150?!
And I counted 55 (Not counting the two that commited suicide). -_-
I do not like it…
And atleast make the visuals more intertwined with the canon. Seriously, in the Package, when Kelly just shot a Grunt in the face with her shotgun, I saw “green” blood, not light blue. Not cool, whoever made that episodes.
More episodes with Covenant perspectives, Forerunner/Flood War scenarios, and just the Flood in general please. Those are always super interesting to me.
I really liked Halo Legends and a second one would be really awesome.
Eh, I don’t really care for anime at all. If they do make Halo Legends 2, I’d prefer if it wasn’t anime. Also, I’d prefer if they tried to be more consistent with the canon.
Aside from that horribly stupid one where the Spartans as teens rebelled and went off to kill their own clone that one was full of stupid and -Yoink- and fail and garbage.
I thought they were pretty good, some I didn’t like the art style but still enjoyed them anyway
so I wouldn’t mind more short stories like this.
I would appreciate another
