I know its a Halo 4 forum but this seems to be the busiest place on the site so i just figured I would post this here.
Should 343i consider these guys for halo 5 graphics software?

Yeah since Halo 5 and 6 will probably be released on the next Xbox. But I’m not sure even the next Xbox can handle this…
I would love to see this technology come to Halo. I’m sure the new Xbox will be able to handle it.

After watching that video… yes. Yes they should.
> I’m sure the new Xbox will be able to handle it.
I hope it would be able to handle it lol… the console isn’t even out yet and if some reports are to be believed it’s already way out of date spec wise.
No doubt the next Xbox will be a huge step up from the 360 though!
…wow…wow…amazing…just amazing.
great find. That would revolutionize the game industry
Since I first heard of Euclideon’s project, I was incredibly skeptical. It definitely looks impressive, but how well will it handle the interaction from the player(s), the AI, the environment, etc…? If it simply collapses and breaks down, then what was the point to begin with? I’m going to say no, with my reason being ‘better safe, than sorry.’

I don’t really care if it has out-dated specifications as long as it’s better than the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 can run Halo Reach and Halo 4, I’m happy enough with the graphics, engine, performance, ect. of them.
Given the circumstances of the conversation methods being talked about in the video, the actual size and memory allocation which would be needed could very well be utilized. Since I’m not familiar with the software being utilized by Xbox 360, its possible. but I simply don’t know enough about it to make a further statement. Should 343 consider them? Yes.
Even if it’s not a scam, this paragraph from Notch hits one of my biggest concerns.
> It’s a very pretty and very impressive piece of technology, but they’re carefully avoiding to mention any of the drawbacks, and they’re pretending like what they’re doing is something new and impressive. In reality, it’s been done several times before.

I really would like a next ten console about now
I can’t wait to see how Halo looks on a new Xbox…
I really hate when people who play pc have to compare it to consoles and say how good they are.
I think game systems are great and they have good graphics too. I mean if halo 4 looks that great, im sure it would look better on pc but why put down consoles.
I think bf3 is very impressive even compared to pc, i mean yeah pc is better with lighting and pretty much everything else but i still think their very similar too. Its not like comparing xbox = pong and pc = crysis 9.
The next xbox is supposed to be 6 times better then the current one, if you ask me im pretty sure the
games are going to look insane like halo 5 or 6. The next unreal game on next-gen will be incredible also.
I am doubtful about Euclideon’s engine and the whole engine was at very primitve state when I last saw it. They have not shown ability to do proper animation, they have only shown us scenes that look horribly artificial because all similar objects are pointing into the same direction. But I really doubt 343i should jump to voxel based rendering (that’s what it’s called) until it’s a sure thing. And by the way, the engine of Euclideon isn’t the most advanced voxel based engine around. Atomontage has animation and although the world size isn’t big, neither does it have lots of repeated objects pointing in the same direction. So, personally I think Halo will and should stay with polygons until voxel rendering truly works.
some computers won’t be able to handle this, let alone a console game…

Personally, I don’t think console graphics can be considered good anymore. In fact, I would personally jump into PC gaming did this generation last even two years longer. In 2012 jaggies, low-resolution textures and 720p30 output should be a thing of the past. Halo 4 and the console version of Battlefield 3 look good by 2005 standards. However, by modern standards they simply look bad, running at 720p, 30 fps, with mediocre anti-aliasing and low-polygon environments with low-resolution textures.
As for the next Xbox, lots of rumors going around. The 6x as powerful is an old rumor. The rumored specifications of the next generation point either at 8x or 10x. Anyhow, it will be a decent improvement which I’m looking forward to.
