What happened to SWAT in halo 4??!! You can only use it in custom games as far as i can see. SWAT was one of the best game types, I’d love to see it back.
It will most likely get added post-launch. The playlists are just condensed now so everyone tries out the new -Yoink- for awhile.

Don’t think it won’t be possible for a later update. We’ve seen this in all of the Halo’s and we’ll definitely see some playlist updates in the future. Be happy and enjoy the game! Sure there’s no SWAT now but doesn’t mean all the play lists right now are bad, have fun!

Swat will be back, just don’t panic.
They’ll probably get added post-launch. I bet you 343 will hold a small number of playlists compared to Reach, to keep the population/community organized. They’ll probably switch out playlists with other playlists from time to time. For example, replace Big Team Infinity Slayer with SWAT and then switch, and so on.
