I wanted to see whether the community thought it would be cool for 343i to bring back Spartan Ops Season 2/2.0 as post Halo 5 DLC. If it was paid DLC, would you buy it?
If if they did bring it back, what would you like to see refined, fixed or added?
Personally I thought that the idea of this mode was innovative, with its weekly episodic release schedule (I personally don’t know of any other game mode like it). I felt that it had a lot of potential, and the concept was a breath of fresh air.
I thought that the cutscenes and the weekly release schedule was great, I wouldn’t change that, other than allowing multiple people to watch the cutscene at the same time. It would be really cool for us campaign officianados to see something like this bridge different titles.
I think that if they did make this mode happen, they would need to not recycle environments quite as much, and fix the co-op connectivity. I never really had problems playing the game solo, but I found that anytime I played with others, I was plagued by connectivity problems.
I’d like to see some features from the Halo 5 campaign and multiplayer added to mode, such as the Orders, Revive and REQ system. For a mode like this you could bring back the idea of a custom load out. I think it would also be really neat if you could design a custom team of 3-4 Spartan A.I allies to use in this mode, where you’d pick cosmetic items, but also load outs and maybe even tweak custom traits like we see with the teams in the Halo 5 Campaign. I dunno about you guys, but I never really felt like Fireteam Crimson when playing by myself.
